This honourable court is now in session Great looking little courtroom. I can imagine that the Police station would have been a very busy place in the centre of town in its heyday.
Does anyone live in or around the area? Because those churches look like they are ready to go and the Catholic one has ceiling fans!
What a campsite! Jurien Bay looks lovely and this must have been where you kept sending me pictures of the sunsets! Amazing campsite! And I love the photo of Jackie! It is good to see her in the photos, and you too Dad. Let Mum have a go of the camera! :) xox
Pinnacles and lobsters I bet you got some stunning photos of the Pinnacles, the ones on the blog are fantastic. Of all the people who stumble into lobster territory and a 'lobster shack' it is you two! We all know how you hate lobsters!
The photos look great and it is good to be reading more updates on the blog again other than your social exploits in the Kookaburra Caravan Park! But it looks like you are back into the swing of things and enjoying yourselves!
'On the road again' (think of me singin to you!!!........maybe not!!!!) Perth is a lovely city with lots to see, but as you say not a place to settle. Kings park is great (spent many a nite there on dates in my past life!!!!)Did you go there at nite , the view is awesome hey! I think Freemantle would be one of our fav places in WA. Well my dear friends wonder what is in store for you now you are travelling again, what ever and where ever ...enjoy. keep the blogs going!!!

Your friend Ben sounds like an absolute character and as you say mike you will cross paths again. love all the photos, the cars are 'out there'hey!!! very sad about the guy been taken by the shark, neil and I wondered had you 'crossed paths' with him as he had a business in Busso!!!don't think there would be many people you wouldnot know in the shopping precint Mike. Especialy the 'goose' (you would not have to give them your order by now) Good to have your visitors always good to see some one from Vic. I guess there will be a farewell party????? got to leave that 'lasting impression'!
Leaving? I thought you guys were still going to be there when Penny and I came back in December?!? :)
The photos are awesome! Especially the rally ones in the forest, I must admit I did think for a second where you had copied them from haha! Great Camera!
While you guys have made Busso your home for the last few months, you were having so much fun when you were on the road and there is lots more fun to come!
Hi Ron & Sue YES..very definitely, as much as we love this place we cannot wait for the temps to drop up north below 35 and the wet cyclone season to go so that we can be underway again. We plan to leave here straight after easter. Trust all is well with you all. M & T
Heatwave Just to let you know that Aberdeen (north of the wall) had an all time February high temperature of 17.8C in 1897, a couple of days ago the temperature was 17.2C.
Warming up for the Olympics I think!!!!
Nice to read you are busy saving the Borneo rain forests and the inhabitants. Maybe your next caravan trip could be up to Borneo to see your bit of forest.
Are there many people working in Aussie?all day seems to be festivals.
Yes watch out for the white pointers, you would not catch me in waters anywhere but an inland Scottish Loch, and I ain't too sure about that as the Lochs have monsters, so they say!!
Keep having fun and take care
Brian
Retirement has been good for you ! seems to me Jimmy, that you have too much time on your hands if you are trolling through historical meteorological records to check out the temperatures of Aberdeen. Having said that it is good to know that you are exercising the old grey matter in your dotage ! It just goes to show that North of the Wall is God's country after all..positively sub tropical and over a very extended period of time as well ! Ahh the Olympics, well that could turn into a topic all on its own. How is your Grandfather image progressing, I trust you are practising on Rosie?
orangutan happy hour Hi mike&trish that one way to have a drink but you all look like you enjoyed yourselfs glad to see you are still finding new friends everyday love judy &peter xxx
Happy Hour Happy Hour is quite a ritual with travellers, and in most places you go you can always find a group to sit with come 4pm as long as you take along an esky. The longest Happy Hour we have ever had was on our trip back from seeing Bruce & Mim at William Creek Pub (Buggers have sold it now!) and we got stuck in the deluge at Copley and Happy Hour lasted three days!
awesome. you make us laugh mike vicars. yes Neil is very proud of you welcoming the new arrivals at'your park'!!! we'll make a park manager out of you yet! we'll have to call you 'have-a chat' 2 it is surprising how so many events of all sorts are held in Busselton there must be some atraction, the place obviously just the fact it has great beaches?
we love the fact you are meeting people and not just sittin'round, taking advantage that is available to you! love the story of raising money for the orangatangs, what a wonderful way to raise money. that would be something that we would have enjoyed as you know.it is a amazing what one man with a guitar can do!!!!love ya both miss you think of you often. hows our little 'fish' jackie?
Have a Chat 2 .... ...to Have a Chat 1, do you read me? yeah I could get used to that ! We had a great night and are now thinking of doing it again for our interest, Animals Asia and the moon bears, stay tuned for that one. Jackie is great, we have just returned from the beach where she has been swimming and annoying the #@!~ out of any seagull that flew or came near us!Just had a shower to get the salt and sand off her and now she is having a bicky. She just said to say woof you lots Uncky Neil. (you lot are nuts!) Bye xxx

jackie 'the fish' with the propeller tail. it does not surprise us that Jackie has become the the ''social butterfly of all doggies' Look at her parents a fine example!!!!!! the 'social butterflies' of the human kind!!!!!

Trish I know its you! Hello Mike and Trish,
Hope you are well and it appears you are having a great time.
One question Trish - who is the tubby fellow you picked up at Donnybrook and where was Mike at the time?
Weather has been very warm of late and we are looking forward to a cool change.
Life is pretty hum-drum here at present and other than a few minor eye problems which I have of late, both Wendy and myself are keeping well. Wendy's daughter Michelle, recently was married on Port Melbourne beach. Now about the weather, you guested it, the previous few days prior to the wedding were fine and extremely hot and on the day itself, well we had everything except rain. Wind gust were up to 50 KPH and the tempurature was down to 15 degrees.
Alice has recently been accepted into Deakin Uni to study a journalism and media course. Callum has recently losted his enployment however, I have no concerns about him finding a new job very soon. He would like to be involved in logistics and when I recently had dinner with him and Samantha, he seemed very sure of the direction he wished to take in life.
Lachlan 'the charmer' as allways recently paid a one hour visit and he is progressing up the tree at the RACV.
Wendy and myself recently went to see a play in the city. If you remember the TV series 'Yes Prime Minster' then you would have both enjoyed the show, which was very funny. We stayed in the city over night and had dinner in a little Italian restaurant in Hardware Lane. On the Sunday we went down to Docklands and we were both un inpressed.
Well that's all folks,
Love Wendy and Mal.
Come over here and say That! Listen Big Fella ! I have actually lost weight ! and I am toned up...so toughen up big boy if you are going to face me with those accusations! great to get all your news and the wedding sounds interesting with all the weather involved but I am sure it went really well for her and you all had a great time. The Gronows went to see the same show..would have been funny if they had been there the same night ....but then again they can't have been as you would have heard Neil !
Hi, we are Mike and Trish and about to start the next phase of our lives. Over thirty years ago we travelled from London to Kathmandu which instilled in us a love of travel. We live in Australia and since our initial adventure have done the "family thing". During this period we have maintained our travel bug by regular trips OS but mostly by 4WDing and camping trips throughout this great country. Now it is time to do the big lap, "The Wrong Way Around." We have sold up in Kyneton, Victoria and put into storage what we wish to keep to furnish our next 'base' and the plan is to travel for at lea... full info
