As we said qwe enjoyed our visit to Busso too although not as long as you so only saw some of the sights. once again great photos. Matt and Penny had a great time with you both. Always great for families being together even for a short time.

We love the fact that you are seeing as much as you possibly can whilst driving and enjoying all that is to offer. Who is neil that you referred to? wondeful photos.
Hi Robyn Thanks for reading our Blog. It is the first time that we have had someone read it that has been in the same 'area' as we are! Hopetoun is an amazing place, isolated and yet has 'sort of' everything. We know Wavecrest and in fact nearly ended up there with you ! We are in Hopetoun until 8th before we move on. May catch up?
Family Christmas at Wavecrest Having to 'work' on Christmas Day wasn't too bad as our place of work is the quiet Wavecrest Village and Caravan Park. The park was full of holiday people, we had our delish hot lunch of turkey and all the trimmings with a seafood platter to start. Our family had come from Perth, Bunbury and central wheatbelt. So they appreciated the cool breeze blowing that day.
The pool was a treat to relax by, plenty of talk and laughter with the gift opening of course.
Yeah, some people have to work Christmas day and it was our luck that we've good place to work in.
No wonder the family like to come down to this delightful town and enjoy all it has to offer. Thanks to my fantastic family for joining us.
. With the best of wishes for 2012. , Your Christmas in Hopetounis to be envied. Wonderfully relaxed, at peace with the World and apparently in a very pleasant setting. We say this knowing we could not travel today, but for you Trio enjoy and make every moment count as I know you will. Looking forward to the Fireworks, but Mum says you can have the cricket. Our love and take care in 2012. Dad,
Enjoying your blogs. Sorry about the collar bone. Have a merry xmas and happy new year. Sent a card to the Caravan Park. Sent an email a week or so ago but it bounced back. Hope this arrives.
Best Wishes Ronald & Sue.
Busso! I miss Busso!
Penny and I had a fabulous time with you guys over there in Busso, it was just nice to chill out and do some sight seeing with you two. And Busso is a very pretty spot, it was hard to leave! Any more photos? I will try and email or maybe send you some of Penny's photos and some of mine off my phone.
Miss you both xoxox
Thank you Wendy & Jeff ..It was a tough few days but, as I said, someone had to do it so that all you good folk could experience a little bit of the hardships we went through by looking at the pics. I would make sure you see this coast if you are within this vicinity, it is amazing.

wow! love the photos mike and trish. You are looking so healthy trish!beautiful suntan. the photos of you and the birds are awesome talk about nature at its best!
thanks for the photos, we really enjoy them. I remember in my past life going to kalgoorlie for a wedding. Could not believe how hot it was trying to keep cool was a challenge. (going back when I lived in perth and engaged to a perth guy, it was his cousins wedding.) I am pretty sure we stayed in the Exchange hotel.Still looks pretty good.!
wow! what a history lesson, mike. fab reading. your 450 ks round trip was interesting. Not to keen on the temp around the salt lake. Have followed you trip on our atlas.(450ks trip)
we were taken on a bus trip from the indian pacific thru kalgoorlie. Have similar photo of me in the 'mouth' of the digger.(above the super pit!) that at nite was awesome looking down on what looked like 'fairy land' with the lights and what looked like match box vehicles working!
Thorough research I'm very glad to see that you tested the accuracy of the advertising blurb, so that others may benefit in the future!
Kalgoorlie sounds like an amazing little microcosm living completely off the mining boom and everyone else benefiting at the same time! Maybe I should go over and work for a bit to earn some big bucks!!
And speaking of bucks...that bucket is HUGE!!!
Not long now!
Hi, we are Mike and Trish and about to start the next phase of our lives. Over thirty years ago we travelled from London to Kathmandu which instilled in us a love of travel. We live in Australia and since our initial adventure have done the "family thing". During this period we have maintained our travel bug by regular trips OS but mostly by 4WDing and camping trips throughout this great country. Now it is time to do the big lap, "The Wrong Way Around." We have sold up in Kyneton, Victoria and put into storage what we wish to keep to furnish our next 'base' and the plan is to travel for at lea... full info
