Right, The start of my australian adventure was a rather wet one in more ways than is obvious form the photos. We flew into Cairns after a stop over in Darwin (meaning we couldn't take advantage of the ridiculously cheap booze at the duty free in Singapore -not a good start Oz, not good at all). Okay Okay... another appology Its been anothr long time since my last blog and going with my previous decision I'm not goping to sit here for hours trying to recount everything I've been doing in the minutest detail... The (should be il-)Eagle Guest house Arriving in the driving rain didn't do this hostel any favors, we spent one night here until we were told of other better and cheaper places while on our trek. The scene on entry is similar to a seedy motel from a seventies movie, the wall's looked like they'd been shot at and the electrics sparked. not perhaps one of our better choices and a far cry form our pampering at the hands of New Siam II in Bangkok. Bangkok has certainly been an experience First day, first con I can write this in comfort as I sit in Chiang Mai breathing cool fresh air that i will not rsh back to bangkok. Its not that we haven't enjoyed ourselves cos we did, it's just been absolutely manic all the way! There's me, Marc, I'm the one in the photos with no hair and then there's Elliott -he's the one with loads of hair which will probably get longer and longer as we make our way through our trip.
