Hey Guys!
I was so excited when I saw that you had posted a new blog! I love reading them and seeing what you're up to - reminds me of our trip which seems so long ago now! I also got incredibly excited when I read that you found the lighthouse from Round the Twist - I used to love that show!
I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about NZ - if you want any tips check out our old blogs, but if you get the chance then Abel Tasman National Park, Mt Cook National Park and Milford Sound are all places that should not be missed on the South Island. Plus, if you're in to doing scary things, try and do a sky dive over the glaciers - looks amazing! Also, Ice Climbing on the glaciers is amazing.
Any ways, keep them coming!
Hope you're both well? Lots of love! xxx
Hi guys! I can't believe you're heading back out on the road! I'm so excited for you! You're going to love camping, both in SA and NZ! I can't wait for your forthcoming instalments.
Enjoy!
summer bay! don't feel like a looser trix, every girl i know that's been traveling has found summer bay to be the ultimate highlight of their trip!! (not joking, ask louie and emma in a few months!) love and miss you lots x x x x x
Knocking together a few meals over the week was the least we could do for you guys! Big thanks again for letting us stay! We're missing Sydney a bit, but NZ is just beautiful - you're going to love it here xxx
The Perhentian Islands are in a different league to Tioman, and this tainted our view of the island somewhat. Some friends of ours stayed on tioman and loved it..... but id advise you to fly to kota bharu and go to the perhentians....the diving is unbelieveable (we didnt dive....snorkelling we saw turtles/sharks ect), the water is clearer and its alot cheaper!! Has a much better vibe aswell......our favourite beach place on the road so far!!
Both places there are speed boats....3 hours to tioman and 90 mins to the perhentians.
Sydney Hey Guys!
I'm glad things are working out for you in Sydney. The Flat sounds great, good luck with the move in!
Paul and I are in Adelaide at the mo after a mamoth journey through the outback - it was incredible though!
We're looking forward to catching up again and telling you all about it soon!
Lots of love,
Kirstie xxx
Kimberley We could both def. do with a bacon sandwich, but as it is largely Muslim here there is a lack of pork. You can get chicken ham though - yum! As for your comment on the nose flute it is no comparison to my whistling beak! xxxx
Diving Hi Lou,
As I am only a scuba diver and not a fully fledged PADI diver I will def. check out the watercolours dive place! In Ko Toa there were so many people in our group, so would be good to learn in a smaller group. If I don't pass there is always snorkling, which is meant to be great too. I think Mark likes it that I haven't passed as he says he can get away from me, I said going 30 metres under water is a bit extreme!!!Thanks for the info.
Lots of love xxxx
Full moon party Hi Lou,
That necklace was a snip at 20 baht! It looked a bit of a sad state the next day though! We obviously both have good taste !
xxxx
Diving! YO! FANTASTIC - soo pleased you've learnt to dive - it's just fab isn't it. You MUST go to Perentian Besar - the watercolours dive place is BRILLIANT - you know how i raved on when you were here. The diving is just breathtaking and they're really professional. There's loads less people, and it's much more relaxed than in Koa Toa so they can give you more time and support. If you need to finish you're PADI Tirx, i'd recommend doing it there. The snorkelling is also top-notch.
lots of love xxx
Hey Kimberley Kimberley - They were fiesty little scamparoos, you wouldn't want a nip off one of them! Hope you are well and haven't had too many crazy patients recently! We are both good, been sunbathing today lots of topless women here, you don't know where to look (except if your Mark!) Lots of love xxxxx
squits well trix, as you know i have been on the brink of death myself with food poisoning! glad to hear you perked up to chow down on some greasy food soon after, always does the trick! miss you lots x
Thai Massage Hi Kimberly.......
Bex went back a few days later and they asked her if she wanted another massage...... and she said she was a bit sore, and that i was having some pain! When she said i had had the older lady.... they just laughed saying the other one is alot better!
Mine was into pain apparently....... whatever floats your boat i guess!!
sturdiness mark, i thought after all your cut throat dealings in the big city a gentle massage would be just what you needed. shame you don't posess the sturdy shropshire gene! x
Stunning pictures! Wow! So much done and only 2 weeks into your trip.
Great blog btw, I'll only be viewing it on sunny days in the future as it can be somewhat depressing otherwise.
Take care and keep up the stubbornness :D
Sick of scammers! I know it becomes a right pain after a while when people are just trying to pull the wool over your eyes. You feel like saying I'll give you some money but just take me to where I want to go and stop lying and wasting my time!!!
Thanks for the advice! I know thanks for the advice we weren't going to fall for that one! We have had a bit of sun the last few days but has also been rain, rain, rain here too, at least it's hot though!
Hi.......
This is our first time backpacking........and we are looking forward to sharing our adventure with you. We have both quit our jobs to go and see a bit of the world, and to generally enjoy life a bit more than the usual 9-5 allows!
