After a Coca Light and my usual postcards, I was off to see the brand new Porsche Museum. The only thing I knew about it was that it was all the way on the other side of town. It was getting later in the day, and if I would be able to accomplish my goal of seeing both car museums, I realized I needed to get a move on now. After cramming in yet another weekend long class in Advanced Seminar in Financial Case Studies, I decided a nice couple day trip to the Mercedes Benz Musuem, as well the brand new Porsche Museum would be in order. Both sights are, luckily for me, in the same city, Stuttgart, Germany. I wanted to get an early to Stuttgart so I could perhaps see at least one Museum and then do some other sight seeing. I have always been sort of a sucker for a conspiracy. I have always loved to read books that would indicate that perhaps things are not are they seem. This type of attitude is exactly what brought me and I am sure many other people to the French Cathedral city of Chartres. The train ride to Chartres is a very pleasant one. Although, I did leave Strasbourg a littel later than I had originally planned. Seems that everyone in Strasbourg was going to Paris and got their ticket right before me. Oh well. Like they always say...the best part of a trip is not the destination. But it is in the journey. Well, like I say, nothing is ever as easy as it should be. After my fiasco at the Train Station in Paris last weekend, I decided to get to the Gare in Berne, Switzerland with plenty of time to spare. I have to take an overnight train from Berne to Rome. Well, this was the trip that almost wasn't!!!! I left Strasbourg on the 14:16 TGV to Paris, arriving at about 16:40. I had a good hour and a half to make the train to London's St. Pancras Station in Bloomsbury. So, I decided to go for a quick walk. I wrote a few postcards as well, with all the time I had. The only potential problem I could see was that I had to walk to from Gare du Nord to Gare d'Ouest. But I have done that, and knew it was about ten minutes away. And I knew I had [View Full Entry]

Well, I must say these last three days were really tough on me. I just completed an intensive three day class on International Negotiation Skills. It was really rough. We worked constantly, using several different case studies, and by the end of the three days I had one heck of a headache!!! But the class was certainly well worth it. We really did learn quite a bit. Now, I just hope when my grades come in around June, this class will be a good one. I believe it will be. I visited the incredible city of Paris during the long weekend of January 29th through February 2nd. Paris was even more magnificent than I remembered it from my previous. trip. I rode the TGV from Strasbourg, catching the 7:15 am train. We arrived in Paris a few minutes late, but hey, I am not complaining, I am in Paris!!!! Amsterdam, to be honest was never high on my list of places to visit in Europe. But I had heard so much about it, I decided to put together a little road trip and see for myself what the mystique of Amsterdam was all about. From the very beginning, things just kept getting bogged down. Finally, we left Strasbourg at about six. That was much later due than we expected, due to an extremely long check in for the rental.
