I hated to change my profile, but I guess I must. WOOHOO!!! finished up my year in Europe at the University of Strasbourg. Man, did I have a great time. I travelled all over the place and did so many neat things. I simply cannot thank my family enough for the opportunity. Well, I am back in the States, and yes, I finally opened up a Facebook account. So, now, all my friends from Europe and I can have a chat every once in a while. I thoroughly enjoyed you all. Now, I am enrolled at the University of Missouri/ St. Louis in the final part of the IMBA. The program is ranked in the top twenty programs of its kind in the country. So, I am hoping someone out there will give me a job. Enjoy the sight, and let me hear from you!!!

Our first day in Avon was spent pretty much just waiting around for our room. We did stop at the Village Inn in Denver for breakfast. After that we did the two hour drive to Avon. It was really a very pretty drive. There were lots of ups and downs and some great scenery. We stopped acouple times. Once we took some pictures at a scenic overview near Frisco. Then we actually did stop in Frisco and mary picked up some yarn for knitting some scarves for the girls. Frisco was a very pretty town. After our stop, we were on our way to Avon. The address was not on GPS. But we were able to get very close. We arrived in Avon at about 10:30 and finally got a room at 4:00. At least we ... read more

Mary came in bright and early today. I got up at about 5:30 am and headed over to Denver International Airport. I still remember when they were building the new airport and the horrendous mess they went through for years. Lots of cost and time overruns. I brought all Mary's things in the car. So, all she had to do was get offthe plane, find me and hop into the car and head to Avon. She was a little early but so was I. We were soon on our way to the mountains and hopefully cooler temperatures. ... read more

But my lovely wife needs some time off, and so we decided to use our timeshare and go to Avon, Colorado. Mary'flew and'I drove. This is a log of some of the places i went on the way and some of the things I did. I got up and after a lot of messing around, finally took off at about 10 am. My first stop was a rest stop in Missouri. As usual, I try not to drive more than 90 minutes or so. I am just too old for the straight through drive anymore. I did stop for lunch at a place called ... read more

I went to Chicago, Illinois and rode the famous "Bike the Drive" with my sister Sharon and her boyfriend, Jerry. As always, I beat her to the finish and we had a great time. These are pictures from our trip from Garmisch, Germany to Tarnow, Poland. WOW!!!! What a day of travel this turned out to be. We had a nice breakfast in Garmisch at the Army resort...and what a nice place that was!!!!! We took off for Poland..... We figured the GPS would take us through the Czech Republic since it looked like a direct route. But we were not surprised when it took us North around the country...Okay..we thought the next turn would be in Germany...great!!!! Well, we just kept going further and further north. Finally, we decided the GPS was taking us to some other "Tarnow" It was!!!! Crapola!! We probably drove 5 hours out of the way that day. I guess it could have been worse. About fifty miles from Berlin, we finally figured it out ... read more
