Arg! Dude, that sounds terrible. I didn't know bed bugs sucked your blood - I thought they just bit. Is it really an allergic reaction, or are they a little poisonous like ticks?

Amazing change! Walked 6 km in an hour with back pack; hiking uphill for 7 hours -- what a happy feeling. You must be very fit now.

Medicine is expensive, isn't it? We haven't even started on our trip, and already our suitcase is half-full of gauze etc. Jodie had an operation semi-recently, and we need to take care of it while we're away.

Good idea to take the bus. The last thing you want is to permanently injure your knee! The siestas sound great. Jodie and I are going to Inida next week, so for the past couple of weeks we have been madly working to get everything in order before we leave. On most nights I have been working until midnight. Oh, this holiday is going to be so good.

Hi Chris, thanks for the comment! I didn´t really have access to proper internet for a while so couldn´t update the blog. Each day gets easier as my muscles and feet adapt, though the process is painful... the gear is excellent thanks, I couldn´t live without the water bladder! My hiking shirt is getting tatty as I have to wash it each day. Kim´s bike sounds great! I really hope you get the job, let me know how it goes! Lots of love from Lu

Thanks for the photos - they give a clue as to why your hands were frozen on day 1!!!!!! And that was some thick chocolate in Paris. Made me think of the film of the same name. You seem to be having lovely weather. Have you replaced Sarah yet? It's probably good travelling with three, and not just as a lookout! Have fun and keep safe and well. Love from Mum

Thank you so much Lucy,for writing this blog. It is so much fun to read and is almost the first thing I do when I get up-click on to see an update. How wonderful is modern technology. Hope the bodies are indeed adjusting to the rhythm of the walk with no blisters etc. Angi's photos will be amazing, close up of bulls and all. Up around Agra there were heaps of gum trees planted along the road. Our driver said that they use them for scaffolding, because they grow quickly and are very straight. We went there towards the end of our trip, so I know what you mean - it was great to see them again! Very interesting about the feeling of community that you had. I feel similarly about the free software community (especially Blender). How do you think you will bring it back? Are you already a member of any clubs? Congratulations on finishing your walk. It sounds like it was a great experience.
