Day 5 - cousin Wanda's, Yamhill Ore Well planned on leaving to go on to cousin Richard & Mary Jones' but.... While visiting with one of Wanda's sons Shawn, looked out at the RVa nd noticed a big huge bubble on the outside of the rear tire - about as big as a football lengthwise in half!! whew, glad i saw that before driving on it!! AAA w/ RV came to the rescue!! Les Scwab came with tire and mounted and changed all in the driveway!! but alas too late to travel on so Happily my cousins are not tired of me and I will start out fresh in the morning!! Day 3 - Tuesday. Left Lacey heading to cousin Wanda and husband Stan's place in Yamhill, Ore. RV running bad, Kelso pulled over for help. Lee's Transmission helped me by calling around to find who could look at the rig. Bob's Lil Car Hospital took me in. Verdict = clogged Catalitic converter = bad. Must overnight part from, Puyallup! Let me stay in lot, very nice people. Got er fixed first thing in morning. Arrived at Yamhill approx. 3 pm. Rain Rain Rain diid I say that to you! Called Randy Marler while going through Vancouver - he was 2 hours out heading to Spokane, had nice chat about all the rain here on west WA. Wanda and Stan wonderful!! Day 1 - Sunday May 16th Left Spokane 12:30ish, goal = Spanaway WA. Stopped several times, letting Daisy run. Started raining before Cle Elum, then just past Cle Elum traffic slowed to a crawl. Finally passed a Surburban with a u-haul trailer that had jack knifed and looked like the trailer had landed on the roof of the suv. Appeared all to be unhurt, they were gathering backpacks and the u-haul had stayed locked even though it was smooshed good. Traffic picked up again. Arrived Puyallup, called cousin - sorry dates mixed up and other CA friends over. Re-arranged to stay another night and meet them Monday eve. Monday bought new "house" batteries for RV.... read more
