Hello everyone. This was one our last places to visit so we thought we'd make it somewhere a bit different and decided on Niagara Falls. Out of everywhere we've been, this was probably the best spectacle of the lot. It's impossible to explain how big and powerful the falls are. Even up to about half a mile away, it felt like it was raining because there's so much mist coming up from the river. We had to wear rain ponchos for the 2 tours we went on. Niagara Falls actually separates America and Canada so we walked over the rainbow bridge from country to country which was a bit strange. We didn't know but there was actually 2 falls there. Niagara (or horseshoe to the Americans) and the American Falls. The American Falls are really impressive, ... read more

Well that's it everyone. Home time tomorrow so this is our last blog. We've actually been to New York twice because we came here for 4 nights before Niagara. It's a really great city. So much to do and see. Another heat wave to top it off too. So after 18 flights, 3 long train journey's and endless buses, subways and taxis we're on our way home. See you all very soon. The End... read more

The capital of the USA. Another 2 flights, 2 trains and a bus to get here but it has definitely been worth it. Loads of famous buildings, statues and monuments to see and the weather has been red hot! The warmest place we've been so far. All the main sites are within a mile or two of each other so it wasn't too bad walking around in the heat. It feels a bit like London here but it's probably because there both Capital cities. Time for another flight and another city. It'll be worth it though!... read more

We arrived in the windy city on Saturday night. We had to book a hotel outside the city centre because Chicago is so expensive. Over £300 a night so something not much better than Blackpool in the main bit! Although it was out of town, it was still only 25 minutes on the train so it wasn't too bad. When we got up to the room it was all worth the extra daily travel. See the pics for the reason why! We're glad we've been but it was by far the most disappointing city we've been to in America. The atmosphere was good but apart from the Sears tower, which is still the 3rd tallest building in the world (tallest with the mast), it was just like any other big city. We managed to go to ... read more

Another week, another destination. This time, Disneyworld, Florida. We thought we needed a bit of change from the usual things we’ve been doing, so what better place than here. It took 3 flights to get here from Vegas. It should have been 2 but we flew into stormy weather trying to land in Orlando so had to go to Tampa for refuelling. After 20 minutes we went back to Orlando where we tried to land, only to have to ascend again just metres from the runway because of high winds!! Very scary. We finally got to our hotel, The All Star Sports Resort, at about 1 am. We’ve had such a great time here. People think it’s just for kids but there’s so much more here. Big rollercoaster’s, golf courses, hundreds of restaurants and loads of ... read more

Hello again. We've spent the last 4 nights in Las Vegas and we both love it. It's so much more than just gambling. The hotels are huge! Most of the main ones are like towns with hundreds of thousands of people in them. They've all go about 10 bars and restaurants, huge casinos and gambling halls, swimming pools, shows, zoos, nightclubs and rollercoaster's all under one roof. We stayed at the Stratosphere hotel at the top of the main strip. It's a long walk all the way down but there's a monorail that runs down the strip so it's not too bad. We've been on a few of the big rollercoaster's too. Las Vegas is in the desert so it's boiling during the day but it's freezing on a night. We're in a rush so haven't ... read more

Us again. We've spent the last 5 days in Hollywood. The weather is still red hot. 39 degrees all week. It's a great city but very dangerous. We had to come back to the hotel before dark because the streets can be very dodgy at night even though we stopped in Beverly Hills. We haven't seen any famous people we know but did see someone getting out of a car with loads of paparazzi swarming around her. Hollywood boulevard is great. It's got loads to do including the walk of fame and the Kodak theatre, the place where the Oscars are filmed. We've been to Universal Studios as well. The studio tour was really good. It shows you all the sets where loads of famous films and TV shows are filmed. Back to the Future, King ... read more

Hello again. After our marathon 20 hours travelling we've spent 4 days here at San Francisco. It's supposed to be the city that everyone wants to live in and we can see why. The weather is great. Clear blue skies with a really cool breeze from the bay. It's such a friendly city as well. The main pier area is Fishermans Wharf. It's got loads of nice restaurants and bars. We've seen loads of funny stuff including a man chaining himself to a tree for some reason and a gypo and another man having a slap fight in a crowded park. The police had to come and sort it out! We've been on loads of scenic walks. Golden Gate Bridge is unbelievable. 2 miles long with dolphins, seals, sharks and whales swimming underneath it. The tour ... read more

Hello again everyone. Really starting to get the hang of the blog now. We've just arrived in Kuala Lumpur airport again after 3 nights on kecil Island, one of the 2 Perhentian Islands. We stayed at the Senja Bay Resort. The place was breathtaking. It was like a paradise Island. No roads, just 3 or 4 boats coming onto the beach everyday with supplies. The water was crystal clear with tropical fish all around. We walked from one side of the island to the other in about 5 minutes through a jungle clearing. There was only 2 or 3 restaurants on our beach but we were staying full board so didn't have to worry about food. There was no beer on our beach but we did find a small bar on long beach to quench our ... read more

Hello everyone. This is our 5th night here. We've managed to see pretty much everything Kuala Lumpur has to offer. The Petronas Tower is fantastic. The biggest twin towers in the world. It's quite a strange place. It's like a mixture of Thailand and the Middle East. It's much more Muslim than we thought. Our hotel isn't too bad and we've been eating in Nando's! Weather's still red hot so we're ready for some slightly cooler weather. We go to the Perhentians tomorrow. Some tropical Islands in the South China Sea off the coast of Malaysia. Bye for now. ... read more
