Well we made it to Melaka in one peice, its half way to Kuala Lumpur on the west side of Malaysia. Its an interesting town, alot of history in that area it seems. A long time ago it was conquered by the Dutch and there are quite a few buildings and graves from that era still around. Most of the attractions of the town are historical rather than beach Thailand types of things. When we first arrived on the bus we were met by what we thought was the usual types of people trying to promote their hostels and cabs. We [View Full Entry]

Heading North Asia » Singapore
Hey guys. Just doing a quick post to let you know that we're heading out and going north to Kuala Lumpur (spelling?) in Maylaysia. We've been in Singapore since Thursday (Wednesday for all you back in the States) and it's time to move on. Singapore has treated us well. We've enjoyed visiting all the different districts and meeting people from the four corners of the world. It's been raining like crazy and it doesn't look like it will let up any time soon. But we're hoping anyways. Oh, just in case any of you want to contact us personally and don't [View Full Entry]

They helped us out the whole time, invited us to stay and eat after (which we did) and tried to get us to go to their social night, but we had some sights to check out. They all seemed to know where Walla Walla was, that and Loma Linda. The food was awesome and tons of variety in taste as well as culture. After church we checked out Mt. Fabor, which is apparently one of only [View Full Entry]

Little India Asia » Singapore
Well we have arrived. 21 hours and three countries later we finally are here. We're staying at a hostel in the Little India district, lots of temples and mosques (hindu, buddhist, muslim etc. ) But at every corner there are food vendors and lots of english speaking people. Also, lots of vegetarian food, who knew? We're sure glad it was the first place we've stopped at, makes the buses and subway alot less confusing. So far we've only touched on Singapore, with only Little india under our belts. In the coming days we're going to hit , Little China and some [View Full Entry]
