Hi Karl just to let you know your job is still open if you ever get back to blighty and want to slum it, Trying to train Dan up at the moment (he shows some hope!) we are all jealous of you and your trip especially as we sit at work covered in cement dust while your soaking up the sun on some tropical beach you lucky ***, Keep up the blogs as they tide us through the dark days at work. Cheers mate (Daniel says hi too).

Wow, Ko Samet sounds and looks great - erm.. Why didn't we go there??? In stead of stupid Ko Samui!! Anyway, it must be really sad that Darren is going home, hope he has a nice trip! And you have a nice, safe flight (or flights) to Africa!! :) Looking forward to hearing about it!! xxxxxxx

OMG I can't believe you had to eat that disgusting food...! I really don't know what I would've done with myself in such a situation, coz I really can't eat food like that, none of it! And it's so hard to be polite and just swallow (think straight here, please!) :P The tubing sounds awesome, just don't like the idea that you don't really know when you'll be able to get off the river again... The looong trips you've had sound aweful, but the rest sounds pretty cool!! Hope you're enjoying Chiang Mai, and don't forget... The night market! ;) xxx

Everything looks great and sounds amazing!! I just had to comment on this entry, coz.. Well you were late for some trip with a group, and somehow - I don't know why - that just rings a bell.. Hmm.. Can't believe you put that picture on - thanx!! (NOT) But the comment underneath it kinda makes it up, as I'm probably the only one reading this blog, who actually understands it!! And - Jeg savner oz dig!! - You'll probably figure out what it means easily! So sad you didn't get to hold the 4 month old tiger, coz when we were there about a week after you, we got to hold it, and wow it was the cutest little thing, I just wanted to bring it home with me.. But if I had brought all the animals home with me that I wanted to, I would have to start up my own Zoo... xxxx

about backpacking
I forgot - we weren't 'really' backpacking, as we had brought suitcases.. Didn't exactly expect to be walking down the jungle to a beach with our suitcases - but without you we (or at least I) would've never made it!! And wouldn't have been able to get my suitcase on the boat from Pha Ngang to Samui either - so THANK YOU for saving my precious stuff ;) xxxxxxx

Always good to read how you experienced the whole thing, and thank you for trying to spell our names the way they are pronounced :) Love it when you say it, sounds so funny! good that you realised to watch your writings as not to hurt other people's feelings. and please remember there are so many other ways to be humorous rather than being pathetic to other people. and if you think my sentence about you busy planning to bomb iraq and afghanistan is abusive, then you should really also think that "being humorous" about abu hamza bombing etc is also abusive. and one more mate...if you post you article to be viewed by the public, you should expect all spectrum of people to read it. if you don't want me to read, then write it in your own personal diary... so mate, be more responsible when you write something for the whole world to read. thank you

you took the words out of my mouth...lake mackenzie really is WOW!!! I love reading your blogs and feel jealous everytime but actually having to read through this blog at the rate of knots had to be done as i could actually see myself there which was depressing. Glad your trip is still going well, as always there is nothing to report over the sea. I have to say there was definatly Dingos on Fraser when we were there..in fact it was outside our bloody tent!!!! Take care Nicola x

I told you it was a quality trip, glad you enjoyed it. Shame you didnt see any dingoes, we saw a few one morning but i think we were quite lucky. Enjoy Whitsundays!

Bloomin heck, tis lovely there!
I think i even remember the Cliff of Doom, you didnt mention if you got bogged round Indian Head or not?I was also 'experienced driver' yes AND female too! on my trip and had to get us over the dunes into our camp one night when a guy had attempted it but failed!!! Naught you, for feeding dingo's I could rant on for ages about feeding them...but they're isnt enough space. Let me tell you, a 3am experience with a dingo sniffing at your washing up water is something not to repeated! Hello Daz, hope to speak to you both in Alice xx
