Hey Jeff,
Was excited to hear your take on Walter and I think its safe to say that we agree with everything that was said above (except for the whole hawkeye flaw thing!). Were back in the states now, hope you have a good rest of your trip.
One of the idiots in dress :) Hey Jefferey.
Im one of the idiots in dress (2 meter tall, red dress) ;)
Im just wondering if you could send me a copy of the pics you took of us.
Best groupe photo of us all i have senn so far :)
Cheers Allan
Ice Ice Baby Totally agree that Ice trains are cool. Not sure if you are reading my comments forward or backwards but...wait for it....(had to get a JJF in there)...I am reading backwards so now I am at the end. You are right, your GD blog is amazing. Love the photos and the color you provide. Also, since I haven't really been paying attention (until now) I'm kicking myself that I didn't plan earlier to crash your trip. I'm sitting on 150,000 miles for Delta and you'd think that would get me at least one way? Probably won't happen but it was fun to think about for 5 minutes and I know you are a great tour guide as you have so aptly demonstrated many times down the moutain. Congrats on your gig at GK and for having the guts to make a career change. Enjoy the rest of your trip and now that I've caught up on your adventures, I'll stay tuned! Cheers (and beers!).
JB to the rescue We give John so much grief - but hey, he's there when you need him! :) I had actually heard this story when I saw SAA/MWO/JB at the tailgate (I don't do games). I was surprised to hear you got pick-pocketed since you are a seasoned traveler. I don't know if you remember my panic that I thought my purse-wallet was stolen my first night of Matt's trip but ends up after a day at The Pub I simply had put it in the corner under a chair at the Coach House and retired to my Castle without a worry. I was soooo happy when I found it the next day. Did the wallet include photo of your beloved Buffy?
Thanks for the shout out! Lots of interesting stuff in this post. First of all, 2711 cubes. There must be some meaning but my goodness that is a lot of concrete. And I love that they have so many parks! As far as the coffee store...my maiden name is actually Balzer - but close and it caught my eye even before I saw the shout out. Oddly there is a coffee shop in Sheyboygan, Wisconsin, USA (added context for your international followers) that is the Balzer Coffee Shop. Careful crossing those streets!
cords Here is my beef with cords - they aren't labeled. Someone could make a lot of money if they could find a way to label cords. I have milk crates of cords and just like keys - you never want to throw them out because one day you need it. I can so see you on the Fat Tire Bike ride with the Chief Justice. He'd somehow find a way to have his bike light blink at you and then turn red to make your questions stop. Sorry you missed the opportunity.
Small World So cool you ran into a friend of a friend! As mentioned, I'm reading your blog backwards and now I'm learning more about the Berlin Wall. Yeah, that does make sense that there is this entire strip to develop. P.S. Is his name really Ace?
Work mode? I see you are eyeing up a condo development, are you getting itchy to start your new gig? Anyways, the pix of the Berlin Wall are amazing. Is there graffiti all over the 100+ miles of wall? Also, wild to think about how in this day and age where the internet breaks down barriers that a wall could keep out people but more importantly, ideas.
Coco in Krakow? What's up with this? Is Coco a chain? I'm reading your blog backwards and you were dancing all night long at Coco. Sounds like this beats State Street, and maybe even Vail Village? Wish I was with you listening to jazz drinking a cold one. Sounds like a great city.
Coco Dance Clubs LOL ... Sue, I never even noticed. The two photos were taken in Krakow and Prague, so it must be a chain. I think the only person who would notice is a person reading the entire blog start to finish.
Grim Unreal. I read a lot of books on WWII and the Holocaust but seeing the camps in person would be surreal. When we visited Pearl Harbor tears welled in my eyes - so much death. My Dad fought in WWII - left school when he was 17 and was in they South Pacific for the Navy during his formative years. He never talked about it. We say "never again" but we still have senseless wars. What horror and suffering - the ghosts remain.
BonBons Is there really an entire store for bon bons? As far as "must haves" when you travel I always recommend a koozie to keep your beer cold and your hands warm.
V's & P's So, this has become an x-rated blog? Thanks for tipping me off to Fat Tire Tours - it was a highlight of my trip to Paris (my one and only trip to Europe). I can't believe you didn't do the giant swing??? A man who does double black diamonds is afraid of a tame swing?
Fish out of Water I'll agree you are more of a drink beer in a pub than a go to the Opera kind of guy. The bike ride sounds very fun, but I'm not so sure about drinking wine along the way. I drank skittle shots at Joe & Kelly's tailgate last year and I had to walk my bike home.
Ice Cream Store Beautiful buildings but my attention was drawn to the ice cream store. Just like shaved ice in Hawaii! I love that this blog has info on the country because to me it is all just Europe.
I'd like the red one please Hey - there you are on the bridge! Looks like a fun town to traipse around. Those berries look scrumdelicious! Don't forget my scarf.
Orange Hoodie? Does your orange hoodie count as garish attire? You could turn your baseball cap sideways - that would be styling and you'd fit right in with these boys. As far as the time travel thing, it started to sound like an episode of LOST. But then again, you've always been ahead of yourself.
Coco Loco Did you learn this trick from Matt? He used to add tidbits for the Chief to make sure he read every word (bless his dear departed soul). You'd more likely swim in the pool of death then you would dance until dawn!
Scary Stuff Wow, that bone church is scary. I don't think I know John and Lori but they look like nice people. My birthday gift to you is I'm going to comment on every posting. Happy Birthday JJF!
Czech that off your list. Keep them coming, Jeff. We are reading. You are reminding me of my 1991 post-law school trip to Europe. The only differences are I did not spend any time in clubs, there were no realistic cell phones, no blogs, and I was young and poor. Other than that, pretty much the same.

Jeff likes to travel and more importantly he likes to write witty little blogs about his travels. His blogs are generally factual, but certain names, places and/or events have been changed to protect the innocent (or to punctuate a joke). Jeff thinks he is funnier than he is, and he has an unattractive habit of referring to himself in the third-person, or, even worse, as JJF. The spelling mistakes are real (JJF is not trying to be funny, he really is misspelling those words). And the stories? Well the stories go on ... and on ... and on ..., but what is truly annoying, what makes people r... full info
