Well this may be the last blog entry, have been pretty slack lately! and not as good when you cant load photos. The charger we have isnt working in europe, so we are using the last of our camera battery just to take photos, so cant upload anymore.... Well i didnt even talk about (i think) my most favorite part of paris! the beautiful Versailles!!! wow was that breathtaking! Its this huge castle that the King of the time built as he wanted to move out of the city. What was amazing were the gardens and lake! It was like being transported back in time. Man were they elaborate back then! well i guess we still are now, but whoa! It was cool as they were playing the old school music of the day in the ... read more

Well we made it to Norway! 5 countries down 2 to go! It was hard saying goodbye to spain.... that has definetly been a favorite! Loved the sun, the beaches, the cities and towns, the streets and houses, very cool :). Although it was a shock when we got off the plane in spain and driving to Calella and along the motorway were prostitutes.... it was crazy! that had umbrellas and chairs, and it was just bizarre, being on an open motorway! No one said that would be one of our first encounters with spain! Spain would be a place i would visit again, Barcelona was amazing, nice clean city and so much to explore. I think just having 5 days of our trip laxing at beaches was fantastic :) We arrived at Stansted Airport in ... read more

DonĀ“t have too much time to write, as your pay for every 15mins! So.... we had a great last day in London, visited Lords Cricket ground.... but have so moved on from London, how can you not when you are greeted with Spain! Sun, sand, miles of coast, castles, clear blue water, beautiful city, and boobies everywhere!! Definetly a liberated country, feel very conservative in a bikini...... This place is amazing. Last night we went down to the beach, live band playing, water was luke warm ;). Today was 33degrees, crazy hot! We explored Barcelona, as we hired a car. Such an incredible city, so much to see, and so clean. You could explore for days here. We would just drive and find incredible things. Saw this castle/church on a hill, so we drove up and ... read more

I sit down to write the blog and I so easily forget everything we have done! Yesterday we ventured out into the big world that is London on our own, and headed to our Hotel. The tube is so easy to get around on, brillant public transport system, kaipai London :) Our Hotel is a real budget B&B, 50billion narrow stairs to walk up (slight exaggeration....), take me back to Asia where the staff carry all your bags for you! We went on a London walking tour last night - all about Jack The Ripper (love our human fascination with death.....) It took you to the East End where the murders happened, and was a fantastic history lesson about london and the East End especially. In its hayday it was a slum basically with 900,000 people. ... read more

Well London, if you call this summer i'm not impressed....!! Having a great time hanging out with Andrew & Julia. They have a cool 'terraced' house, flating with another couple and 2 sisters. Friday we went for a wander into town and checked out this one street with all the music stores. Poured with rain, so took refuge i in a small baguette shope and had lunch. Went to the soho comedy club that night, brillant :) It was a small place, like a quirky old pub, and there were 5 comedians and the host. The host was a crack up, and there were 2 comedians who were brillant. Thought about writing a couple of their jokes here, but just wouldn't come across very well, and probably very offensive and un PC :). But they were ... read more

What a couple of days!! Don't think i have ever been that tired! and working at ZEAL, thats saying something! We spent our last day in siem reap in a more relaxed mode, still quite wasted from the temple visit, and the heat. Checked out our traditional stone and wood carving place which was cool. It rained most of the afternoon which was nice, the weather much cooler than the usual 32 degrees :). Packed up our stuff and speed off in our tuk tuk to the airport for a flight at 6.50pm. Siem reap airport is flash, probably because its quite new. With my fuzzy head i was like, ok arrive bangkok at midnight, arrive london 6.30am, sweet 6hr flight.... but didn't take in the time difference did i? no no no... Its an 11hr ... read more

Asia August 11th 2010

We woke up so completely wasted today after yesterdays temple adventures. Think a mix of so much walking, and up so many intense ancient steep steps, and the burning sun, we were drained as. Lucky today we don't have to walk far, and will be out of the sun. i will post a photo of tims sunburn, its mean as - his thighs don't see the sun to often :) just to mention, the breakfasts here are amazing!! one of the best meals of the day, so huge and filling! Anyway.... today we visited a silkworm farm, and it was so interesting! i will post the photos soon. But they breed heaps of silk worms, and they grow the mulberry tree which the worms eat. The munch on that for quite a few days until they ... read more

Asia August 9th 2010

What a day!! Very long and really hot day! but was ok cos we were in the presence of some incredible and extremely old temples- dating back to the 10th - 12th century. Talk about one massive history lesson today! Our guide was awesome, her name was Channey, and if anyone comes to siem reap i recommend her :) Can't say much, might get her in trouble in case this blog is tapped by any officials.... but we learnt alot about the state of the cambodian governement now and relations with other countries. We liked her alot, maybe becase we like conspiracy theories :) - but hers are probably all true!! lots of evidence to back them up. Took the tuk tuk to the temples, still love riding in those things - wind in your hair, ... read more

What a day! From snakes, huge arse spider, dancing elephants, really bad sunburn, covered in mud, nearly killing a small child, 1m from a Tiger & watching a storm roll in over a lake while lying in a hammock, one of our best days yet! Today was our day with Blazing Trails, a couple of guys who run a 4wd tour into rural cambodia, an absolute must for anyone coming to Phnom Penh, amazing. It was just Tim and i with our guide and a mechanic :) - nice to know. Our guide was great, he was 7 when he left Cambodia, just as the war was breaking out, and they moved to france. He has a business in france, but has now returned to cambodia. The morning was burning hot, and we didn't really put ... read more
