Neither of us has posted much on here since amsterdam really although that is mainly because we have been busy or unable to post because of expensive internets. Japan is absolutely awesome. If you know where to go (its so hard just to stumble on to things because of the packed nature of the place) then you really do have the best time! Went to Kagaya in Shinbashi and its probably the single most entertaining night you can have eating in Japan without getting totally smashed and letting the alcohol make it fun. Mark Kagaya is part waiter, actor, entertainer and all host. For 4000 yen you can eat and drink (including alcohol) as much as you like for 3 hours and by jove did we eat! Russell: Amsterdam is beautiful! After the drudgery of Hamburg with its weather and all, we arrive in this beautiful city and with it the sun! Sitting in the Biblotheque Central right now (as it is wonderfully free) because our hostel charges more than Hamburg (which was 2e for 20 mins.) Maybe its because of Hamburg that I appreciate here more but its just a fantastice place that us a fusion of the beauty I like in Canada Water with the hustle and culture of Camden. Also endeering is that it isn't just about Coffee Shops and women in red windows writhing about at night! Honestly the only downer about the whole place is our hostel which isn't quite up to scratch. Hello!!! Russell and I are leaving for Holland tomorrow!!!! HURRAH!!! We are both sick and tired of Hmaburg. There is little to do, its ugly, its expensive. It rained all day today so we didnt do anything. Instead I just slept (Han) and Russel walked around waiting for me to wake up. Alas, im ashamed to sax excitement is not in this part of Europe. Well, there are fewer than two days left till the day of departure and we haven't gotten everything done. It isn't really as bad as it sounds at all. I'm all packed in a backpack that is nothing short of perfection for our purpose which I'm really happy about indeed. Pretty much all of our stuff is present and correct. Have had a bit problem with my camera at almost the last minute which has probably stressed me out more and in a smaller space of time than the whole planning portion of this holiday so far. Well. As far as I know my credit cards have not arrived and the money side is looking desperate as Law school funds have not been recieved. Bags are not packed. Croatia and Poland are not booked. But, rail tickets have arrived!!! God knows what Russell is doing. But I thin he will be annoyed when he finds out that his name has been spelt wrong on this blog. Ouch.... read more
