Hi Gerry and Ruth. Really enjoyed reading your blog. Brings back memories of our trips. Photos bring your writing alive. Just finished Ekka here. Weather magnificent - 28 again today. King Pikel's tomb

I'm curious?
Are tourists allowed to just roam and ramble through these ruins? For instance are you allowed to climb up the stairs to the tomb?

Temple of the Sun

Looking good!
Did you go for a run up those few pidly stairs?
12th November 2015

I'll be there soon too!
Nice one Gerry! 15 hours straight from Sydney is a piece of cake! It's gonna take me almost 30 hours from Brisbane, via Fiji and LA :( Your trip sounds great so far. We'll have a free guide for the majority of our time in Mexico City, pity she speaks very little English - a MASSIVE challenge for my Spanish!!

miss you
Hi Ruthie, We miss you heaps. It has been great reading your adventures. What an amazing holiday you are both having and beautiful pictures. You both must be so fit and feel great. The Inca trail sounded amazing. Gerry is a talented writer- perhaps lonely planet can pay him to write great descriptions of travel experiences and you can keep travelling...... You definately should do a slide night when you get home over a few glasses of wine. Love Di, Ro and the girls miss you terribly. Rosie is getting quite vocal and is hilarious.

I remember this all so well :)
I was sitting on the balcony of my favourite restaurant in Arequipa this morning (in my dreams!!) ... I don't remember the name but if you face the mountain it is upstairs on the left hand corner on the square - they did some yummy vegi food and amazing Pisco Sours .... aaagghhhh It was such a haven of peace and tranquility after Lima.
