Bellingen looks great! What a wonderful time you are having, I am really enjoying your travel blog. David Helfgott! How bloody exciting! You have to send me a copy of one of your stories that you dragged out of your head and we'll make it into a film when you come to Melbourne. I hope to see you down our way soon - Melbourne Comedy Festival will be on - we should see something wonderful. Your photo's are excellent, and the camper looks comfy! Take care and all the best!

Hi girlie Sounds like a wonderful trip! You are a refreshing inspiration, saving me from the cold greyness in London. Look forward to the next blog. Lots of love and take care xx E
Lucky you Hi Linda,
Marvellous that you met the famous pianist and did all that creative stuff. When did you buy the Toyota Hiace and how much did it cost? I hear they're one of the best makes of campervan. I hesitate to open your blogs in case I get an uncontrollable urge to escape. But they're a great antidote to English weather (snow last night). Keep 'em coming!

Happy New Year Linda!!!! It looks like you had an amazing NYE celebrations down under. NYE over here wasn't too bad either!!! Have been planning my itinerary for my trip to Oz and hopefully be in Sydney around 1st July.... love and best wishes for 2007.
HAPPY 2007 FROM VICTORIA BC Saw the incredible fireworks display as we celebrated with friends here. Great to know you are back where you belong(!) and enjoying yourself. Will write soon, lots of love Lizzie
Happy New Year! Sydney really knows how to do it! For 2007 remember... life is short, break the rules, 4give quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably...! You do all that anyway - all the best Linda! X
Looks brilliant Well I bet you didn't have the rain and gale force winds we had. We saw the new year in a fabulous marquee in South London for a mates wedding but there were times when we thought we were going to take off and fly to someone to someone elses garden.
Have a great 2007 Linda.
Happy New Year! Thanks for the lovely pics and descriptions - it sounds fab! Glad you had a good time. Paul, his friend Ian and I had a good night at a local country pub - they were doing a disco and buffet, and I was able to dance much more than usual. We all gathered round and sang the New Year in via TV - the fireworks over London looked pretty good, and we were able to do the countdown and hear Big Ben with all the revellers there. I wish you everything good for 2007. Love, Primrose.
Happy New Year! Wow! Spectacular! Did you see the London ones - old Ken did us proud! Happy New Year darlin, glad you're having a great time over there. Miss you and look forward to hearing all about your adventures in 2007 x E
Season's Greetings Fab pictures of Sydney - miniseries of domestic disasters have me hankering after my own combi -am spending Christmas with Anne and her Aussie niece and nephew - not their usual barbie by the pool. Glad to hear you are rediscovering the real you! Don't forget the straw bales in 2007...x
Merry Christmas sweetie Hope you're having a great time in the land of Oz. Missing you. Have a great one.

Hi darling - so good to hear from you and to see the lovely photos - and great news you climbed the "Bridge" - I did it a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it - my Christmas present this year is a ticket to climb the Story Bridge in Brisbane - really looking forward to doing that too.
Hope you have a great Christmas and looking forward to catching up in Tamworth - have fun in Bellingen - lots of love - Mummy xx
And a hot Christmas to you too! Hope you have a good time in Sydney over the holiday break and look forward to the Bellingen episode. I am very fond of that area myself. It has a special atmosphere, I find. Am on my way to Melbourne for Christmas with Gina but can still be contacted on my mobile ... and hotmail because, naturally (!!!) G's is a computer friendly house L O L Shall be there until 12 January.
One degree of separation with James Bond Linda
Last Thursday, Daniel Craig, the latest James Bond, walked into the University of Notre Dame Australia Sydney campus, on Broadway. He was with his uncle, who works at UNDA Fremantle, and the uncle comes over to Sydney regularly. All the girls' hearts were a flutter. Unfortunately I did not get to meet him, but I did shake his uncle's hand later in the day. If you had been staying at Ann's place, you never know, you could have met him and said: "Scott, I'm Linda Scott!"
Ciao Colino
Hey Linda, it sounds as though you had a great time on your way back to Oz, and it must be fab to be back home. ...and to make you feel even better, the view from Millbank these days is generally grey, drizzly, dark and damp!! Keep adding your blogs and photos, they're a source of inspiration - much like your good self! xxx
Welcome back G'day
Glad to see you made it home downunder and are enjoying renewing your acquaintance with Sydney. Look forward to seeing you in Brissie once you find your new mobile home and join the Grey Nomads.
Sheila and Greg Bond (plus their two beagles) are currently doing the nomad thing in Queensland.
I will write to you later on your old hotmail address in hopes you drop in to an internet cafe sometime. Lots of hugs ....... Rowena
Welcome to the land down under If you are about on Sunday (though doubt you will have a spare moment) you might like to join a small group who plan to meet on the grass up from the beach on the beach side of Campbell Parade opposite Lamrock Avenue Bondi 1:00 PM. We are doing the Bondi to Tamarama, Sculpture by the Sea walk after which we will have a bite to eat back in Bondi, likely the Lamrock Cafe.
Certainly 'sounds' as though your journey home has been rewarding and eventful.
Fond reagrds

Hello, welcome to my travel blog. About me - well to cut a long story short, I left England when I was 20 (a Barnet girl) travelled first to New Zealand for a year where I enjoyed life as a postie around Auckland’s streets (as at that time English people had a bad reputation for being too casual about employment) and it was all that was on offer. I loved it and got very fit, first on foot, then bicycle.
Then on to Australia for the next 30 years or so. Occupations included housekeeper on sheep station in outback Queensland, secretary for mining company in Mt Isa, scriptwriter, promotions... full info
