so its been a hectic two days... there was a tran strike the day we went from rome to florence which created some uneasy feelings when they werent' sure if there would be a train leaving that day. many people were stuck in rome and we were lucky to find a train going anywhere near florence. we hopping onto a trian that wasn't going to the main train station but that would get us to the city. we got there and waitied for a bus that would never come because of the strike so decided to take a taxi to the [View Full Entry]

last nights dinner was great...we ate at menti doc which was a wine bar/restaurent. it was def not crowded even though it was a fri so taht was kind of sad but we talked for a good two hoursa nd then headed back to the hostel and got some well deserved rest. today was another fun and event fulled day! the day started off interestingly when tat didnt feel so great but that was fixed soon after on teh subway. we made our way to the vatican city and when we got there found some breakfast. we then joined the long [View Full Entry]

so...today's main activity was definitely SWEATING!!! it is incredibly hot here with no relief at night either. the thermoniter in our room reads 30 degrees CELCIUS the entire time. allie and i are considering pooling for AC which we can get at night for a certain price from papa germano! they also gave us a great gift of a bottle of wine last night...how kind of them!! last night we had dinner in a really nice restaurant down the street. i had spagetti carbonara and it was delisihous!! we went straight to bed when we got back but during the night [View Full Entry]

so we finally made it...after 24 hours of travel we arrived with many interesting events in between!! the goodbye was rather emotional, even driving through og was tough...but once we got through security i calmed down and decided to make the best of it. our flight to england was great, it went by quick and AA has a new entertainment system!! i got to watch definitely maybe and the office and monk and 21 it was grreat fun apart from the intersperced baby cries which made sleeping rather difficult. when we arrived we grabbed our bags and then headed into the [View Full Entry]
