yesterday, wednesday we spent the morning and early afternoon in the louvre whcih was tiring but realy fun. we saw lots of artists that i had never heard of before that i know really loved. from there we headed towards teh centre de pompidou and went shopping on the way. stopping into zara and buying purple pants!! they're very exciting. at the pompidou we saw a man doing an act otuside which we watched for a little bit adn then wandered through the two stores that are inside as we din't feel like paying to climb the outside. i grabbed some lucnh afterwards, a kabab sandwich which was very very yummy. from there we headed back to the apartment as it was getting late adn i wrote in my journal and then went on a very ... read more

so!! we're finaly in paris after an extermely long train ride and a bed of bugs! we left for paris at 10 on saturday adn got a train to milan where we grabbed some coffee and snacks. the train to milan was great!! we had our own compartment to ourselves so could lie down and sleep as there were three seats on each side. well actailly i got snacks but the supermarket was extremely expensive and had realy nasty food so i just grabbed a yogert. we hopped onto our train and there were issues becuase they put carriage 5 at teh end of the train instead of between 4 and 6 which was really silly. so all these people were coming into our carriage and trying to claim other peoples seats which was amsuing. in ... read more

today we got up and wandered down to the gallery accademia...we waited in line for a little over an hour and then finally got inside!! i had gotten before we joined the line a delishious chocolate croissant!! we went inside the gallery and saw david and lots of other cool paintings which were very cool. we also saw some other cool statues. we then wandered to the basillica san lorenzo which was very peaceful although rather hot. then we finally went inside the duomo which i thought was incredibly beautiful!! after that we got lunch at a caffeteria style store and then did a little bit of shopping only to return to the hostel where i read etc there are some guys here who just arrived and one is goign to sussex so i told him ... read more

last nights dinner was great...we ate at menti doc which was a wine bar/restaurent. it was def not crowded even though it was a fri so taht was kind of sad but we talked for a good two hoursa nd then headed back to the hostel and got some well deserved rest. today was another fun and event fulled day! the day started off interestingly when tat didnt feel so great but that was fixed soon after on teh subway. we made our way to the vatican city and when we got there found some breakfast. we then joined the long line to get into the vatican museums. we finaly got in, paid student fair and found ourselves inside the museums. we treked through the pathway leading to the sistine chapel and saw many interesting thigns ... read more

so we finally made it...after 24 hours of travel we arrived with many interesting events in between!! the goodbye was rather emotional, even driving through og was tough...but once we got through security i calmed down and decided to make the best of it. our flight to england was great, it went by quick and AA has a new entertainment system!! i got to watch definitely maybe and the office and monk and 21 it was grreat fun apart from the intersperced baby cries which made sleeping rather difficult. when we arrived we grabbed our bags and then headed into the arrivals hall only to find my uncle was missing!! luckily i called his cell phone and he informed me that he was at that moment dressing and that we should grab a coffee and he ... read more
