Better
Glad to hear you are feeling better. We were worried about you. Wine tasting sounds like a GREAT choice when you've been sick for days! Haha:) Have a safe trip back.

I am so happy for you that you are havinG all of these fantastic experiences! Personally, I think you should go for the 'ranger school' - you never know when you might need a job! Keep up the blog, since I am sure I will never get there. Can't wait to see the pictures! Love you! Go USA!!!!

Thanks...
...for the good review of Dubrovnik. I'm thinking about heading there in September. Can I just ask how you managed to get a 5 star hotel room for 30euros??? Was it some kind of last minute deal, or did you do some major haggling at the desk? All the rooms i've seen in that hotel are upwards of 250euros!

I really enjoyed reading your blog. It sounds as though you had a great trip. One minor correction, Maria Theresa had 16 kids (can you imagine?), the youngest of which was Marie of cake fame.

How are you still standing. After one night like the ones you guys have been having and I would be done for the trip...well at least for the week. Sounds like you're having a blast.

"Dropped"
I'd suggest saying something like "The Camera accidently slipped out of Mike's hands. Because of the brutally cold tempatures, Mike was wearing gloves and simply could not hold onto both of the cameras at the same time and Ryan's unfortunatly slipped out of his hand before he could drop to the ground and catch it." Just a thought...

Damn You
Wow - your day was surprisingly like mine. I395 was a parking-lot at 7:30am, typed-up a few memos, skipped lunch for a briefing, battled a group of people with pickets and banjos yelling , struggled to maintain sanity during a conference call, and now I'm prepared to battle yet more traffic on the way home. But I'm not bitter. ...so by "surprisingly like mine" I guess I mean "absolutely nothing like mine". Enjoy your trip!

sports
You leaving really had a negative impact on our sports teams. I'm still mourning the Eagles loss and still receiving text messages from those bastard Steelers fans. There's always the Phils ;) I look forward to reading these. Glad to hear it's going well, and have fun! Maybe I'll have a job in D.C. by the time you get back. Be careful!

My visit to Genk, Belgium
i had the most wonderful time during my three day stay in this quiet town of Genk. i loved the people as specially Noke and Lawrence, owners of the most beautiful and homely hotel i have ever stayed in. their friendliness goes beyond words and the food is really good. the room was warm and very comfortable and their caring nature was somethind not often found. if every you want to go to Belgium just to get away for a while ring them. the name of the hotel is t'Hert on 11 Winterslag Straat, Genk, Belgium. it is a short walk from the railway station if you are travelling by train from Brussels Noord. you can always contact the hotel, ask for Noke or Lawrence and tell them Natasja referred you, they will ring Ronnie a local taxi driver to collect you from wherever you are. the roomprices are reasonable and the service brilliant. Please let me know iff you need more information.emails welcome:natasja39@yahoo.com

Ok, so I got to thinking and ..... I remember that kid from Arizona got up at like 4 am to go to the bathroom.. and of course, my face was mere inches from the door knob.. So without my glasses on and being half asleep, I said "Ryan, where are you going?" and he yelled into my face 'IM NOT RYAN!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Seriously, they should consider changing the name from "StayOK" to something more along the lines of "StayAway"!!
