Good Luck! Fiona you are my hero! :) Sounds like you are really making the most of your beautiful photos and wonderful commentary! I wish you the best of luck.
I am actually off to South America soon. I wish I could see your show before I go. Any advice you have would be wonderful!
All the best,
Tori from Annapolis.
cafe con piernas first, i'm glad you enjoyed your time in chile. second, my grandmother lives in the same building your hostel was in, el portal fernandez concha. third, that cafe in your picture really isn't a cafe con piernas. if i'm not mistaken, it's one of the many "cafe haiti" around downtown, which is a pretty standard male-oriented coffee shop. the cafe's with legs are actually in tinted windows and the servers usually only wear a swimsuit/bikini or lingerie, not just short shirts like these lovely ladies in the picture.
i've enjoyed your travels very much. hope you keep travelling.
Wow...... I'm so jelous of your travels Who would have thought after 5 plus years of not talking that we'd meet today in a :Coffee House" of all places! It was a pleasure to see you again and catch up; be it ever so briefly. I can't wait to see your show here in Van, if there is anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.....

Good to have you back on line This last entry takes me back to all the hiking i've done in Britain since 1986. Don't think I will be tenting in the near future. Congratulations on the first half. Looking forward to the completion.

comment from Down Under Hi Fiona
Sorry we can't make your show - as we are in Australia, hope you have a great night!
love Doirin and the girls- Katie, Sally and Fiona!
Show Hi Fiona... Very impressed with all the work you have done to put your show together. We really hope it works out for you and that you don't get too cold walking across Iceland! Love Dad and Connie..
The Show Fiona- As they say in the 'biz...'break a leg' or if you prefer,Good Luck with the show on the 10th! Hope you have a good draw and fill us in how it goes. Hear from you soon.
You crazy Babe! Fiona: We wish we were there to see your show, sounds like so much fun. Evy has been showing everyone your postcard, proudly announcing, "That's my Auntie!" We've just completed renos on our house, you'll have to come and see them some time. Good luck with the Show and the Walk(s). See you in October.
Love, Christine, Doug and Miss Evelyn
Just to prove i've been reading Hey, good to see pictures of sydney again, it is a very good place i assume you were staying in the big youth hostel at the bottom of george street, my god that one's very exspensive. A lot better than my one bedroom in balmain. It's a big place and needs at least 1 month to see all it's charms, even then you'll miss bits.
Ron (well done on the blog, it's very good)
'Glad you saw boot camp! Hello Fiona,
It is great to see you back online. I guess you sorted out the computer glitches. It was wonderful seeing you in Ontario and I hope all goes well back in the UK. Please keep in touch.
I am happy you went to the RCMP's Depot where all recruits are trained. I was one of them back in '86 and I can tell you, it is rough! Recruits want to "earn" their boots because then they can march from class to class instead of running. It is paramilitary but has become more "collegiate" than in the past, focussing on the studies with a little less on the discipline aspect. I would have to say it is THOROUGH! Some of my college grads are heading that way in the next year, or so. My neighbour has been redoing the museum for almost six months. Was it still a work in progress while you were there? Catherine
I SAW YOU TOO! Hey Fiona,
You are a riot! I had a great time meeting you and getting to talk to you. You seem like an amazing person and are an inspiration to women who want to go at it alone. Best of luck with your travel show, book, and most of all with the end of your amazing trip! Can't wait for more blogs...
Cheers Brianna! Now how has Brianna managed to make her comment look like I wrote it?!? I promise you...it wasn't me! Thanks Brianna, you're all ready a computer whiz kid! Looking forward to seeing some t-ball photos!! -Fiona
I love Fiona - Brianna I miss you a lot Auntie Fiona. At school my student teacher brought a baby wallaby. And the wallaby was 5 months old.
I am in T-ball with Cameron, it is a lot of fun. Our uniforms are grey, black and orange. My number is 6 and Cameron is 1 cause he is the smallest. Have fun in New York.
