Well, what can I tell you about me.... I'm a 42 y.o. guy married to a wonderful wife and I have an absolutely wonderful 18 month old daughter. My family and I will be traveling to China on March 17th, 2007 to visit family and to vacation. We will be in China for 4 weeks and our point of entry will start in Hong Kong and move to mainland China. I hope everyone will enjoy my pictures and travel postings. I will try to post entries as often as possible but internet access may not always be accessable.

Wednesday - Would involve a trip to another park which was suggested by our bus drive from the previous day. This park was originally the palace estate of a former ruler from long ago. Here we would view the grounds, visit the buildings and then climb a steep mountain carrying a squirming baby. The hike was extremely interesting and was an extremely steep climb. Tuesday - Guilin Asia » China » Guangxi » Guilin By Chipster April 3rd 2007 Chip Roach Tuesday - This night would begin a 10 hour train ride to Guilin, China. We would get on the train shortly before midnight where we will attempt to sleep for about 10 hours and wake up in a very picturesque landscape. Friday - We will walk a little in the park which is across the steet from Xiaoyan's parents home. Side Comment: I am writing this while eating several McDonald's cheese burgers. You would think that I was eating a great cut of prime rib. It taste so good... Yum... I am so tired of Chinese food!!! lol [View Full Entry]

Thursday - We would end up having several dinners with Xiaoyan's uncle and this would provide us with several very interesting dining experiences. The dinners would be at two different resturants which provide private dining rooms for groups. The private dining rooms offer several couches (a sitting area), a TV, an air conditioner, a dining area and private bathroom. The food on both occasions would be very good. [View Full Entry]

Wednesday - My access to the internet here is a bit limited. We stop to Xiaoyan's parents house every few days and sometimes the internet is not always operational. We are staying at Xiaoyan's younger brother home which is about a 20 minute walk from her parent's home. Her brother home is a bit more modern then her parents. Monday - A little more of the same.... My stomach appears to be coming back to me but I am going to try to stick only to bottled water for the time being. I have also stopped taking all the family medicines since I really don't feel they help very much. Saturday- We walked around Xiaoyan's old home city with her family and we started Xiaoyan infamous shopping spree. And I thought our bags would be lighter returning home after providing her family with all the gifts we took to China..... Fat change of that happening......
