Once again on this bright and sunny morning, we ate breakfast. This time it was something new: rice with beef and sauce, a Chinese noodle dish, sticky rice filled with a custard and little coconut dessert bites. This morning we toured a facility similar to a nursing home which helped poor, homeless or disabled people. I thought this place was very clean and was supportive to the people it housed. Unlike the semiprivate rooms in the US, the sleeping arrangements here were a large room filled with beds. I thought this was different, yet it did not fully surprise me as the public hospital, NKP, had the same layout of patient beds.
