Rebellion Fest - Day 3 Day started off as it did when I arrived here. After going to the internet cafe it poured down chronically. I got completely soaked. Arrived at the Rebellion Fest completely drenched. I had to basically stay there the entire day with soaking shoes and socks. Not the most pleasent feeling I tell you. Met up with Jane and Gareth after laughing at a guy who had a t-shirt that had BAW SACK in large letters. This amused me greatly as a common insult for people in Scotland is Baw Sack. Gareth says it like every day. haha. In NZ we would say Ball Sack, but yeah. Anywho. Bands were rather shit for the majority of the day until a ska band called Spunge came on. They were cool. Played "The Land ... read more

The Something Somethings hahaha I've totally got to give this it's own personal mention before everything. They were the first band I saw yesterday and while they were playing the singer is like "Alright, I'm about to bring out the biggest slut you've ever seen. I've been fucked by her, you've been fucked by her, everyone you know has been fucked by her... and here she is! *Brings out a inflatable beach ball of the world cut open* hahahaha. Then out comes this dude in a Tony Blair mask and him and the singer went to work on the world hahahaha. Ahem.... and now here's my blog: Blackpool - Day 3 Yesterday I had a bit of a depressing start to the day. Felt pretty low in the morning, started to miss people. It's a weird ... read more

Horse Riding What a terrifying experience. Fortunately I only went for an hour. I now have massive respect for anyone who rides horses. I was the tallest person and heaviest person (although that last parts debatable as there was this girl ther who was fucking obese. I felt bad for the horse) so i got the biggest horse. As I went to climb on to the horse, it tried to fucking bite me. We then get shown around for about 5 minutes, which really didn't cover anything what so ever. Then the send you out. My horse was panting angrily when we started out. There are two people with us, one at the front of the group (group had about 15 people) and one at the back. I'm smack in the middle. Bastards. The entire time ... read more

I found some writing I did in my thought book about Scotland. It describes the atmosphere a lot better then what I wrote previously. I did this while drunk, so it's going to be a bit of a weird entry. The mountains gaze over me. Warn down. The rivers that were once on them have run dry. The sun opens and shines upon trees on the horizon. The road infront of me is long. I pass stone walls, rock formations and ruined architecture. So desolate and depressing. The mind wonders about the stories they could tell if they could only speak. I sit there imagining the numerous possabilities. Often the feeling of great loss comes over me. We pass rivers, I think of the feet that once crossed them. The objectives they set out to achieve. ... read more

So here I am at the shitty internet cafe across the road from where we're staying again, attempting to write update my adventures on this prehistoric piece of shit. Glen Ord Distillery Before we went to Loch Ness we went to a Whiskey Distillery called Glen Ord. It was a lot more informative then Talisker (the distillery I previously went to) and I got a better understanding of how everything is brewed. Tried a few whiskeys there, starting to understand the different tastes and starting to appreciate it all a little more. Loch Ness If it wasn't for the sightings of Nessie and all the tourist attractions created because of this, all Loch Ness would be is a massive fucking lake. Seriously, there's nothing all that exciting about it. If you're thinking of going for a ... read more

So here I am, sitting in some budget as fuck internet cafe that has what appears to be 28.8kb internet. Everything is working fucking slow. The screen infront of me is a CRT from what appears to be invented in prehistoric times. I keep waiting for a sabre tooth tiger to jump out from the toilet next to me and bite me.... AH!... na it's cool, it's just some old lady with false teeth. Updating this journals going to start getting a bit harder as my internet access is quite limited. I'll try and remember what happened, but it's tricky when you're in the middle of nowhere and constantly doing things. The place we're staying isn't actually available on the site I'm using's map, so I've tried to point it to the closest place. The Road ... read more

Jorvic Viking Expedition We caught the bus in and headed to the Jorvic Viking Expedition. Vikings had ruled York from 866 AD to 954 AD . The English briefly took control from 927 AD to 939 AD, but the last Viking King, Eric Bloodaxe was expelled in 954 AD and the town became a part of the new kingdom of England. Eric Bloodaxe, what a sweet name. Maybe I should change my name to Geoff Murder Bow or something.. The Viking Expedition cost £7 ($18). I actually got in for cheaper because the guy realised I was young and I was with Christoph. Probably thought that I was a single parent or something haha. Dom didn't want to spend the money so he went off and did a few things in town. Whilst there was some ... read more

Ripon So today we went on a road trip to York with Dom and Christoph which is about 2 hours drive from Newcastle. On the way, we stopped off in Ripon which has a massive cathedral... which according to Dom in comparison to others around the place, is actually incredibly small. The town itself was small and all the roads were real narrow. We struggled to find somewhere to park, but eventually we managed to get to the Cathedral. The place as massive. It was amazing to imagine this had been built by humans. It was so big I had to walk halfway up one of the side streets just to capture it all in a photo. Fortunately I was allowed to take photos inside for the mere amount of £2.5 ($6.5). While we were ... read more

"We're not balling We take it back to the days of yes y'all-in' We holding onto what's golden On a stage I rage and I'm rollin" - Jurassic 5 - What's Golden - I've been listening to heaps of Jurassic 5 since I've been here. No-one has got me into it or anything, I just got that song 'Freedom' stuck in my head and now I'm forever on You-Tube/Myspace listening to them. Might buy me a CD. Wallington Manor Yesterday Mark took us out to Wallington Manor, which is about an hour north of where I'm staying. It's pretty close to the Scottish boarder. Mark went the Scenic route so I could see all the different towns. Up where we were there's a lot of country side. Every paddock is seperated by a hedge and there's ... read more

Warkworth Castle Yesterday was the first day I've been here and it was sunny. Despite it being sunny, the weather was still cold. I finally understand how my people (haha I sound like a bit of a Nazi saying that) got so pale. Even when it's sunny, you still need to wear a hoodie. After a conversation with Raph at the bar last night, she told Dom that he HAD TO take me to see a castle. So we went to Castle Warkworth which is about 40 minutes drive from where I'm staying. The first part of the Castle was built in 1150 AD (according to the booklet thing I have infront of me) with modifications contastantly being made until about 1569-70 when it was ruined by Sir Thomas Forster. A lot of the Castle was ... read more
