flood woes
We of course saw the '02 flood water levels when we were there and could imagine how terrible it must have been. We sure hope you are right, that the worse will NOT actually happen. We are enjoying your blogs, especially when they are about places and things that we know first hand. Ellen

Beautiful pottery...
Hi, Nancy and Bill. These are gorgeous. Thanks for the greetings today. I always say I celebrate my birthday the entire month of April, so yours were the "kick off" greetings. Fondly, Margie

unbelieveable!
You will have to let me feel them to believe that rocks are that beautiful .

National Museum Mineral Collection
Sure hope we have time to see this collection. The photos are fantastic. I am a rock nut like you, Nancy, and have the same problem of having to leave many of my finds behind when we travel or move.

Oh the snow is so delightful
When you are in a cozy spot with a view to the beautiful sight of swirling, falling snow, it's a heavenly feeling. I remember the big snow in March soon after we arrived in H'burg and taking photos of trees, bird feeders and one lone bird that barely made it to the feeder in the storm. I'm glad you have a memorable snow during your stay in Prague. Just hope it is melted by the time we get there. Freda

Shopping carts
A shopping cart system such as you described used to be in use at the Gaithersburg Costco, but for some reason they gave it up. Maybe people found it too difficult to have a coin handy.

Walking in the Snow
This might be a bit tardy since we have been out of town a few days. I found this blog very exciting. Cal and I are both high on exercise to cure most ills! Good to know about the Yaktrax in case we climb an icy slope.

Be careful with the snaps!
Hi, let me make a ´small´ correction of the subtitles to the snaps of the castle and bridge: both of these objects can be found NOT in Děčín, but in another city, in Ústí nad Labem. BTW, I do realize that some 20 kilometers don´t mean a distance for the Americans, but anyway.....

Beautiful buildings!
You have shared your photography in showing us these lovely old buildings. Can hardly wait to see them. Thanks so much. Freda

Gorgeous!
Wow, the buildings are every bit as beautiful as you said! Thanks so much for sharing. I love seeing architecture any time, but this is particularly spectacular.

Missed a prior entry...
How beautiful these are, folks. Life here is hectic -- seems I spend a lot of time attending retirement/going away parties and funeral home viewings. I need to get a new hobby. I missed several days of logging in and now cannot get to the Feb. 21 item. guess I need to keep up more closely with you busy world travelers! Love, Margie

Book Shift
When I see you moving all those books, I feel like I should be there to help. How many libraries have we moved?
19th February 2006

Book Club
What language do you use for the book club with all those nationalities? I suppose they all speak English. It makes me feel so guilty.

Continued
I hit the wrong button and submitted to soon. Leaving tomorrow for So. CA and Arizona, visiting friends and some family. Hope Nancy is OK from the carpet deal. We both caught colds, can you believe it just when we are leaving. Wimp usually has a bad one once a year but I hardly ever catch one but this year---- oh well. Take care and we'll try and catch e-mails on the road occasionally. Nancy, if I ever get to your home how about those pancakes?

Prayers for Nancy
I will keep you in prayer for the allergies and stuff. I know how serious that is for people. May God bless and keep you both safe and show you new things as you serve. Thanks for the wonderful blogs. I enjoy them thoroughly. :)

Happy Belated!
Hey Bill, a belated Happy Birthday! Mine was yesterday (the 10th).. This is actually a very birthday-filled week for my family..my mother's was the 8th, my son Phillip's girlfriend's is today (the 11th) and my sister's is Valentine's Day! Here in Kansas, so far from them however, it has been a quiet time. Blessings, Magpie
11th February 2006

birthday congratulations, Bill!
Congrats on your 66th birthday. The cakes made our mouths water. But the cold weather you can have. A storm is forecast for the Valley tomorrow so we might yet have our winter. We agree that left-handers are the best.

Wow!
Nancy, I am in love with architecture, and doors are one of my favorites. The pictures are wonderful. How about researching them in your "spare" time and doing your book?!
