Mystery flower
Your mystery flower is an "Advent Rose" and it naturally blooms during Lent. That is the common name for it . I have 4 of those in my garden. So glad to be receiving your blog again. Wish it was possible for us to come there and you show us the lovely gardens and eating places. I would surely eat the crepes and anything else you suggest. Blessings to you both. Carolyn

Cranes
It's true you can move heavy objects with cranes and pulley systems. We seem to be mystified at ancient cultures like the Egyptians erecting massive stone pyramids, temples and obelisks. There is no mystery-those people worked and obviously took pride in their work based on the long existence and condition of their stone edifications. We seem to think the wheel did not exist in Egypt-but there is no evidence it did not-chariots had to have wheels and so why couldn't there have been a crane used in pyramid construction?

Living in Bohemia
Bill and Nancy have described one beautiful area of the Czech Republic. My husband and I laugh when people tell us they have been to the CR but never left Prague. It is a wonderful country ful of interesting towns, beautiful nature and most of all, wonderful people. Between this national park and Prague, lies the town of Litomerice where we lived for a year and have returned to visit. If you go, be sure to stop and visit. You will find the people welcoming.

How Beautiful Prague is!!!
Bill and Nancy, you have really made that part of the world come alive through your words and pictures. I see why you so enjoy going back and I know you'll be sad leaving the people and places with whom you spent the last six months. Have a safe trip back to quaint little "old" Annapolis. Carol Lerian

Company just left so am just now getting a week's worth of e-mails. I also love zoos and remember when we were catching a night train to Stockholm from Coopenhagen we took a bus to the Coopenhagen zoo and it too was great. If we ever get back to Praque the zoo will be a must. Taks care you two and continue to have such a wonderful time.

So much fun to make friends with young people. Keeps us young at heart. I'm on jury duty so now must set the alarm, etc., like working again. Makes me realize how much I appreciate retirement! We've had a lot of company since we've been home. June will be another busy month with company and then two weeks in Hawaii for Ryan and Lisa's wedding. Take care and thanks for keeping in touch.

Another Interpretation
I, for one, am quite sure that the woman read the Front Page first, and then handed it to the man when he ran out of things to read - you know, coming unprepared and all.... :-)

Dented armor
Nancy, Jousting could dent the armor too. Maybe another knight rode into him with a lance. Jan
