Round the World 2017
a trip by Andrea Kenyon and Paul Matthews
From: January 4th 2017
Until: July 1st 2017
Our third RTW trip (our second together) was all about doing a season of snowboarding before we get too old! Paul jacked in his job and I took a career break from work and on 23rd December 2016 we both walked out of work for six months of adventure. At the start of January we kicked off our 87 days in America in Colorado where we spent four weeks snowboarding in near perfect conditions in Breckenridge. We followed this with three weeks in Park City, Utah where, after one week, our good friend (and glutton for punishment) Katherine came to join us. Then we all moved onto Montana for another month of snowboarding in the almost empty slopes of Big Sky.
After a short pit stop at home, to drop off our snowboarding kit, we flew out to China for three weeks of the most challenging (and rewarding) travelling we've done. Then it was time for six weeks of R&R in the wonderfully smiley country of Indonesia before flying back to Hong Kong for one week.
Then it was time to head back to the UK and for Paul it was back to reality, whilst I spent my last two weeks in Italy with my parents.
We are both already on countdown to the next trip.
