this is probably one of my last entries, maybe even the last. i have been so busy these past 2 weeks, and internet is not always accessable (sp?) so i havent been able to write that often. well i made it to prague. this is the final stop of my 2 week vacation. it has been amazing. every city i visited, i loved it and thought it was the best. that was until i would get to my next destination. but honestly, i must say that budapest was my favorite. i think it was becasue we lucked out on the weather. well i am alive and well in budapest. sorry i havent written in a long time. i have been so busy. i honestly have no time to just to sit and relax. after lithuania we traveled via bus to warsaw and then bus to krakow. krakow was much better than i expected. the city was beautiful. people were nice etc. The language barrier was difficult, but i could understand parts of it because there are some similarities with russian. however, i made the mistake of asking someone if the new russian and they gave me the strangest look and it was [View Full Entry]

so....i departed moscow on friday night. it was very difficult. i spent all day friday trying not to cry in front of my hozaika. and when we said good bye i was so sad, i almost cried but i kept it together. it was after teh train started moving that i lost it and cried a lot. i was crying because i was leaving my home for the last 4 months, my hozaika, and my friends. the thing that made it so hard is that i dont know when i will be back. i really hope and feel i will be [View Full Entry]

there is a song that goes like "moskvaaaaaa, ya lublyu tebya......". that is i how i feel right now. i love moscow andi am going tomiss it dearly. all day i have been sad because imleaving. dont get me wrong i am excited to go home but im sad because i dont know when i will return to moscow. yesterday was thanksgiving and our last day of classes. i think i got all A's :) so for dinner we went to a cafe with our program director. the cafe was really nice. we had turkey and mash potatoes and pumpkin bread. ok i know i wont be in moscow for Christmas but........drum roll....IT SNOWED. i feel like a giddy kid. its so cool. i woke up last week adn there was snow on the ground. its not a lot but its enough for me. the last time i saw snow was in Lake Tahoe 4 years ago. so this was big,. i mean it is big. i get to wear my boots and my coat, and mittens and scarf. its exciting! well its cool when im outside but then u get on the metro and its like a sauna. its so hot. asjfhagnsd.kjghnajkdfgh afjgh isnt that interesting haha, im lame. i jhave been sitting in the library for 2 hours trying to figure out my school schedule for next quarter! oh what fun! anyhooo. i left off on stockholm. i loved it so so much, it reminded me of sf except a lot cleaner. people were friendly. we went the national musum which was really cool the boat ride to estonia was a lot of fun. we befriended a swedish platoon on "vacation". they dont have money to go anywhere except the boat ride to and from stockholm and estonia. they provided lots [View Full Entry]

whats is interesting is that i now consider moscow home. while i was on my little vacation i actually missed moscow. i think its becuase here i actually feel at home because my hozaika treats me so well, like family. so for me, i actually came home this morning, not just came back to the place where i sleep while i live in mocow. natalia borisovna for me has become family, cheesy as it may sound, but she treats me like a niece or granddaughter. i really am happy that i was able to meet her and live with her. eventhough [View Full Entry]
