Great Blog I had the privilege to spend part of Leila's time in Las Vegas with her, and enjoyed seeing Vegas through her eyes. Leila is a special girl who is interested in so many things. We had a good time.

Beautiful Thank you for posting these fantastic photos of Ireland. It brought me back to our trip in August -- took advantage of a similar deal for airfare, car, and Adare Villas. It was more than we could have hoped for. Everything was perfect. We were 4 adults and the best decision we made was upgrading to a van. So worth it. Driving everywhere, no one was uncomfortable or squashed. Everyone we met was welcoming. Most of our touring was to "home lands" toward the west and south -- Kenmare, County Kerry, Cork, Cobh, etc. Next time we'll hit Mayo, Sligo, and the north coast which is breathtaking. Can't wait to go back.
Dreams can come true Hi Leila,
Reading all your blogs, which have such descriptive detail and pictures of all the places you visit give me great satisfaction. It's like reading any good book which wisps you away into what for me is a land of fantasy, places I would love to go, but probably never will. And for you, MUST BE A DREAM COME TRUE. Your blogs are like reading two stories in one because it tells about your personal experiances during your travels as well as a story about those places you visit and their people AND you do it well. You are very gifted Leila and it makes me proud that we bear the same last name. I'm so happy that you are able to follow your dreams and I wish you the best of the best always.
Hugs, Uncle Jim
YIKES!!! CNN NEWS: Tourists, drivers trapped by Peru mudslides
Posted Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:04pm AEDT
Hundreds of tourists and cargo trucks have been trapped by mudslides in the Andean province of Cusco in south-eastern Peru, after heavy rain pounded the region, police said.
Landslides and swollen rivers severed the rail line linking the city of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca empire, with the ruins of Machu Picchu at two points, the British-owned PeruRail said in a statement.
The overflowing Vilcanota and Rio Blanco rivers in the area flooded hundreds of hectares of corn crops.
Meanwhile, cargo trucks and long-distance passenger busses have lined up on the Cusco-Abancay highway, unable to proceed due to the overflowing Yanama river, which has flooded some 50 homes and also destroyed crops.
a wonderful time was had! This was so much fun, I can hardly expressed how privileged I feel to have attended this celebration for Angela and Miguel. Such a wonderfully accommodating family, friends and neighbors! Now, who remembers Patty's SMOSA dance move?! LOL!
Huntington Beach Hey Chuck, I like your tee shirt. When sitting on the beach in Miraflores, I was telling Ang about going there and watching you surf...
P.S. Love your dune buggy too!
Many trips to Yucatan and Arizona. A bit of time in Crane Lake, Chiapas, Iceland, Ireland, Peru, New Orleans.
Lived in Minnesota, California, Illinois, Texas, and Colorado. Now we call Wisconsin our home.
We've been up and down the entire Midwest and visited some other states, too.
We spent four months driving through Mexico and Central America.
Then, five weeks traveling from the north to south of Peru.
And then, a year later, four weeks more.
Why? Well, why not!
We've only just begun!
Road trippin with the parents followed, but...forgot to blog; next time!
We did ... full info
