bringing the sun We are having a great time in Mexico. Spending Christmas at Playa Zipolite. Day after Christmas we will head into Chiapas. And, of course, we will do our best to bring home the sun. Shouldn´t be too difficult, and actually appropriate considering winter followed us all the way to Arkansas on our way down.
hey there. looks like u two are really enjoyin it down there skippin winter. theres a snowstorm going on as we speak. how fun is that? bring home some sun in april haha.
Me and My Shadow pic is my all time favorite picture of you two!!!
Here in MN, we are expecting another day of getting snow'd in. the Blizzard is just around the corner... and here we just shovel'd out!
Armadillo Race Let everyone see Chuck racing his armadillo. He had to blow on the tail to make it move, or as he said blow up his ???. Only in Texas.
Love Ya,
MOM
Minnesota happenings Hi guys,
Chuckie cut his arm the day you guys left, I'm taking out his 25+ stitches tomorrow and his still has all his limbs so all is well there LOL! Ben and Kirsten miss you both, and their mom. I stopped at the apartment the other day and they jumped in my arms with questions: where's my mom? where's my gram-ma Leila? where's my gram-pa? We played, I tucked them in, and checked Chuckie's arm for gangrene - just kidding. In Hibbing, we are in the midst of a blizzard with up to 14" of snow. School's likely to be closed tomorrow which means Jim gets to stay home and I have to take the Jeep to the psych ward. The Rents are coming over Wed. for Gma's Taco's to celebrate Jim's birthday, we're inviting Chuckie, Dani and all too.
Love the photos! Safe Travels!

~A different view~ As friends of Chuck and Leila, my husband and I have had many wonderful experiences with this couple. We learned so much about the Yucatan, of its culture, different smells, food, people, and hospitality from them. We were always welcome and had a nice feeling at the end of the day.
The pictures on here explain about their heritage and where they came from, how they evolved to who they are now., still a growing culture and proud of themselves. When I saw the pictures on here it brought back memories of a nice feeling and to have shared this with our very good friends. Always a great memory, Nikki
Many trips to Yucatan and Arizona. A bit of time in Crane Lake, Chiapas, Iceland, Ireland, Peru, New Orleans.
Lived in Minnesota, California, Illinois, Texas, and Colorado. Now we call Wisconsin our home.
We've been up and down the entire Midwest and visited some other states, too.
We spent four months driving through Mexico and Central America.
Then, five weeks traveling from the north to south of Peru.
And then, a year later, four weeks more.
Why? Well, why not!
We've only just begun!
Road trippin with the parents followed, but...forgot to blog; next time!
