Keep on Running Yay! Great blog too - it must be amazing for you to put together and see all the awesome places you've been to over the last few years. May you have many more years of running and travelling to go! đ
A Second One Ah, I didn't realise there was a second one! That would make sense if your latest one was part III! I can safely say I'm a non-runner and am happy with that, lol!
Great Blog Such a great blog Ake. I was directed here after opening your newer blog on running, and so cool to see so many pictures of you guys running, literally all over the world!
Street art and coffee We love street art and coffee, so I really enjoyed this blog. The architecture and the streets have a vibe very similar to Merida (Yucatan, Mexico); I thought this when I read your first blog on Puerto Rico too :)
Puerto Rico I have a couple of Puerto Rican friends but haven't considered it as a travel destination... that's clearly an oversight, because it looks great. And things like well-fed strays promotes the place even further for me :)
We enjoyed it We really enjoyed Puerto Rico. But we have to say that one week was enough to see everything we wanted to see and we don't see any reason for us to ever go back. /Ake
Coffee and Street Art It definitely seems like you were in your element in Yauco, combining coffee with street art. And why not write a whole blog entry on a place you really love, I say.
Puerto Rico I must admit I know very little about Puerto Rico. It sounds like a perfect little island to discover though, and it looks like you had a great start to your trip there. I love the horse picture at the end, and that narrow house looks intriguing!
Very Puerto Rican? I know too little about Puerto Rico to actually say what defines as Puerto Rican and what doesn't. But to my uninformed eye this looks very Puerto Rican. /Ake
Fascinating This is definitely a place that would interest me, and I chose the red pill to read on. The story of how the place got there, with the loophole of getting a car cheaper in Sweden for the Norwegians, is fascinating. And I just love how nature is reclaiming the land - nature always has the last say.
It was worth a trip The car cemetery was the main reason for us to go on the trip in the first place. It was as good as we hoped it would be. It was worth all the trouble of driving across Sweden to see it. That's how good it was. /Ake
Random Places I love reading about your travels in off-the-beaten track Sweden. It makes me want to explore every part of your beautiful country! The American Car Drive must have been a very pleasant surprise!
There are so many interesting places in Sweden We just love travelling in Sweden and we keep finding interesting and fascinating places wherever we go. I hope we have the time to visit Gotland Island soon. That is actually one of the best places in Sweden for a visitor. /Ake
Letting imagination run wild It is a bit fun to let your imagination run wild. To make up more or less wild stories about what the cars went through in their lives. /Ake
Sweden has much to offer I always enjoy reading your blogs because you introduce me to non-tourist locations. There is so much to see and so little time. Plus nice cars.
Lot's of cars coming up We have plenty of (rusty) cars in our next blog entry. That entry will also very much qualify as a non-touristic location, even though it does see its fair share of visitors. Take a look and you'll see what I mean. /Ake
We are Emma Holmbro and Ake Dahllof. We live in Stockholm, Sweden.
We have travelled more or less regularly since the mid 1990-ies and it seems like the more we travel the more difficult it is to decide where to go next. Not because we are running out of places to visit but because we find more places we want to go to faster than we manage to travel to them.
Some of the things from our travel bucket list we have ticked off since we started this blog in 2006 are
