Bikini visit???
Sure you don\'t wanna go to the Bikini atoll? It should be safe for a visit (i.e. not living there permanently & not eating locally produced food). It would be great for diving. No one dares to fish there. And I wouldn\'t probably be there either, but that you will have to check first:)

Great entry!
Hi Ake, this blog was fun to read and some of the pictures were fascinating! The ship-breaking in particular looked interesting, never heard of that before. And props to you for respecting the local's wishes not to take pictures of them. Unfortunately, there appear to be many people on this website who don't have the same kind of respect for locals, and just shove their cameras into their faces. Great to finally read something about Bangladesh, not many people go there (yet?), probably as it's not glamorous to go to one of the poorest countries on this planet. Cheers, Jens

We are thrilled to read this blog
We are going to Bangladesh later this year and it is great reading your post. Not too many people travel to or blog from Bangladesh. How much time in total did you spend there. You are correct that your photos are not your usual quality...sorry for the camera issues. But, loved the bird on the cow photo. The boat breaking looks interesting. We may need to take a look at that. Looking forward to your next blog.

Thank you for your blog about Murmansk
I appreciate your point of view that Murmansk may not be beautiful but its there in the far far arctic. I plant to visit Murmansk this coming summer. There is not much about the place, except some trumped up tourist stuff about the sights. I want to know if there is a synagogue. According to what I have read on the web (Wiki), the northern most synagogue is in Murmansk. But I can find no mention of it. Do you know about it? Thank you so much.

Murmansk
Awesome! I've actually driven there from Oslo. I drove to Bergen, took Hurtigruten to Kirkenes and drove from there. A great journey! As for that "I live in Murmansk" thing - he might have wanted to say that he lives in Murmansk Oblast, not the city of Murmansk itself.
