I honestly didn’t know what country Stonehenge was in, seriously I knew it was in England but I didn’t really know like where abouts. I happened upon finding out it was only like an hour or so ride from the city, so I had to go see this. I set out and I am like 5 miles outside the city just cruising along on the M3 and my bike all of a sudden freaks out and starts running like crap so I freak out and grab the clutch and kill the engine and make my way to the curb. After like 30 seconds of examining the bike I see the spark plug boot has come off the rear plug. So I crimp it tighter and reconnect and I am back on my way breathing a sigh ... read more

The first actual day I had in London was to do something totally awesome; I was getting a Conduit cut suit from Anthony Sinclair. More exact the suit Sean Connery wore in my favorite James Bond movie Goldfinger. So that was actually the first suit I will ever have, I've been told it’s done and when I finally get it a picture will definitely be making its way to this blog. Anywho I went to the tube station right next to my hotel which was extremely nice since I planned on getting wasted a lot in that city. I had no idea what I was doing and all I wanted was for it to be easier than the French tube that I used before, and it was. I love the tube system in London it’s so ... read more

Before I start this section I have a few disclaimers: first I love England, I don’t know why but I do and visiting there was like my whole bucket list getting scratched off because I love that place. Second: The whole time I was in London I had a lot of beer, like a lot so it’s getting more and more blurry as I try to recount what exactly happened those 8 days. So the next week’s days may be just jammed into like 3 posts due to my bad memory, maybe someday I’ll return to England and it will jolt something but there was a lot of beer that week. The day started well, it was cloudy but no signs of rain and that’s all that matters sometimes. I did a combination of motorways and ... read more

Europe » France » Lower Normandy » Sainte-Mere-Eglise June 14th 2013

On this my final day in Paris I wanted to go to the beaches in Normandy and see all that awesome that was still there. So I got word of a tour guide that gives good tours of the American beaches and I booked a last minute trip with them for this day. It was a little annoying though because I had to be up there at 0900 and that meant if I took the motorway it would still be like 2-3 hr ride. So no side roads today just the big slab of eh whatever. So I headed out and it was raining again but I overcame and adapted and it stopped a little outside of town. Naturally I lost one of my favorite parts of my bike and that is a little thing called ... read more

Europe » France » Île-de-France June 7th 2013

This day I had set aside to see the Louvre and I was all set to go. Naturally as my luck would have it they were closed because the workers were on strike. So all this means is an excuse to go back to Paris some other time. But my entire day was a bust as it was planned so naturally I just wandered around the city getting lost and stopping at every pub that I saw to try a cold pint o’ beer. The beers were good nothing really jumped out at me as better than the rest, but what can you expect from the French really? Honestly I find it hard to believe that I found my way home that day because I was drinking for about twelve hours. But I had my train ... read more

I woke up to find that it had rained last night and it was still at a slight drizzle so I bundled up and headed for the main city area of Paris. I was annoyed because there was so much traffic but I soon got over that when I saw the French motorcyclists riding like madmen and proceeded to follow suit. I arrived at my destination just about when I was planning on and that is always a nice way to start the day. I had come across a company that offers free walking tours of Paris and its just tip based so you give what you feel like and they have six tours and I found the timing was almost perfect for me to walk from one to the next. So the first met in ... read more

I got up and gathered my things, packed my bike and had a nice continental breakfast at the hotel and I was off on another day of my adventure around 9. I decided to take the back roads again because it is so much better riding and the weather was just cloudy and not supposed to rain. The day went pretty smooth nothing really significant. I mean there was a ton of cool stuff to see as I passed by some got pictures some didn’t. But it was just trees and hills mostly nice riding stayed cloudy all day. Wait no something did happen that day. I was riding along having a good day and I had to flip the bike onto reserve, (3 times the whole trip I went to reserve) no big deal I ... read more

Europe » France » Rhône-Alpes » Lyon May 25th 2013

The morning started out pretty nice, I got up and headed out around 8. The weather was cool and not raining so I was pretty happy. I wanted to take the scenic route today so I checked the boxes on my GPS to avoid motorways and tolls. I went up into the French Alps and was I glad I had a GPS because I had to get redirected like a million times that day. First it was nice no other cars on the road and a lot of turns and great views, then the road construction came… I don’t read French all I saw was diversion so I turned in the direction the sign pointed and my GPS was like “dude what are you doing I said go left and you are going right”. Then the ... read more

So my day started off with finally getting my motorcycle license and then I was able to begin my trip a little late but still able to start. It was a nasty day to be riding a motorcycle heavy rains and all that, but a spot of rain wont stop me. Besides I expected to get rained on, after all it is a 30 day trip across Europe. I decided to use the autostrada because of all the rain and felt it to be safer for the first day of travel. I had never used the autostrada before so I was a bit confused at the concept of tolls, and there were no people in the booths and no motorcycle lanes either. So i got there and pulled a ticked and the gate opened up and ... read more
