robin hood?
It took me awhile to figure out what you are talking about Ian B. But I finally figured it out. Robin migrated to Italy and has been the livestock keeper at that Chianti Castle since his arrival in the 50s. Ellis slept his way into the family that currently owns the castle and makes wine, and since Ellis' only talent is talking, they put him in charge of castle tours.

Loved Rome!
Dear Dan and Kim, Uncle Dirty and I really enjoyed Rome as well and thank you for sharing your travels with us.( I lost Uncle Jerry in the Vatican museum...have you seen him?) We missed you in Chicago this past weekend but it was great to see your Mom and everyone else for that matter....hope to see you and meet Kim someday soon. Love, Aunt Linda and Uncle Jerry

robin hood
Robin must have emigrated when I wasn't looking. It would seem that Ellis is there with him.

I love you!
Hi Nancy, Yes, I think Italy may be our most favorite trips so far. Though France and Greece were also such great destinations that it would be a tough call to make. I am afraid my perspective on poverty has been so shifted after living in India for 20 months that I am no longer able to spot poverty as quickly when I see it in the USA or Europe. The homeless I see in the west seem better fed and less deformed. Speaking of the Catholic church ... Kim has been spending time at Mother Theresa's home for the orphans in Delhi and enjoying it very much. Her job there is to hold and give attention to children under the age of 2 years. I hear everyone was in Chi-town recently and I wish we were there to see you all together. Give everyone a hug for me. Love, Dan

IP 15--Death Row
IP 15 Death Row Hommies, Sunjay M, who goes by the street name "Money" and Dan Bell, with street name "Buk Fity" (cuz he is 3 times the man as 50 cent) were spotted in Mysore recently by a passing photographer. Authorities were notified. They are not known to be armed or dangerous and put together they couldn't rap themselves out of a paper bag, so we are not sure why anyone bothered to notify authorities. They escaped from the north side corridor on the 15 floor of KS facilities. They were serving a self-imposed sentence of indeterminate duration when they made their escapes.

They were always causing trouble...
Dan - Looks like you and Kim are having a great time. Thanks for the blog so I get to live vicariously through you guys. Sunjay - What's going on my friend?!? It is almost not right for you to be causing trouble without Scott and I.... Take care all.

Yes
There are Russians running around the French Riviera for sure. But I wouldn't say that they are obviously over-represented as compared to other foreigners. There are still more Brits than any other foreigners as far as I could tell, but it still seems mostly French.

playground of Russian oligarchs
Today's edition of the french newspaper Le Monde was all abuzz over the purchase by some unnamed russian oligarch of an estate near Nice (somewhere on the cape between Nice and Monaco) for 300 to 500 million Euros. The mayor of Nice commented that would be most of the city's annual budget. So are the russians actually annexing Nice as the fear mongering papers suggest? Did you even encounter any expat russians in the Nice nightlife?

Casey left too?
Casey left too Steve? At some point you should consider wearing deodorant. So he went back to school for a second graduate degree ... in Europe as I recall?

Yeah I am Loser
Steve, You are dead on. I asked Dan to enter this in the blog "In fact, Sunjay is the loser among his friends" but he politely declined.

I wasn't surprised about his low achievement either but I was surprised to discover he could dance and sing like Barbara. Who would have thunk?

troublemakers
Good to see you two troublemakers (Dan and Sunjay) together again. Casey Fitzpatrick regretted just missed seeing Sunjay before he departed Portland. I'm not surprised that Sunjay was the lowest achiever out of his childhood friends. (kidding) Best regards to all.

Germany is not on our list presently. We only have a year left and 6 more vacations on this cycle and Germany does not rate in the top 6 for either of us presently. Long term we plan on visiting there just not in the next year. Any news on your travel plans for this summer? A date set?
