"Cigarette" "no thanks", "cyclo" "no thanks", "fruit" "no thanks", "sunglasses" "no thanks", "moto" "no thanks" "marijuana" "no thanks", "boom boom" "no thanks"...it seems as soon as you have shaken one hawker off another one is on you. But everyone in Vietnam wants to talk to you whether it is to sell you somthing, to practice their English or simply to have a Westerner say hello... I don't know why but when we touched down in a monsoon-soaked Ho Chi Minh airport on the last day of May I hadn't expected much. How wrong I was! What a great country! Its got everything, manic cities, stunning scenery, beautiful beaches, delicious food and most of all people who are bursting with energy and friendliness.
