Kuala Lumpur
This is from China Town looking at the tower 15th - 17th March 2008
Well we arrived at Kuala Lumpur Central Station about 6.30am, grabbed our bags and headed out of the station, outside we got a cab to take us to the hotel we had booked. He charged us 15 ringgit which I tried for lowere but he wasnt having any of it. Couldnt complain too much it was only £2.50. as it was so ealry the roads were empty and we got taken straight to our hotel 'Swiss Inn' it was right in the centre of Chinatown so a great location for the bustling market. I had found the hotel on line, for a double room with hot shower and Tv we paid £22 a night, as we were near to the end of our travels we splurged slightly... It was a nice room, and had a mini fridge and with the Tv was nice to veg and watch a few films. The price included breakfast to which they gave us our coupon even for the day we arrived. So once we had checked in we headed for some food. Our room wasnt ready till about 10am so we headed out for a walk around. The back

This made us laugh of the hotel opens up into Petaling Street which is where the market is based. Your usual, fake shoes and bags galore !!!! slightly pricier than Bangkok and by then we had totally shopped out in Thailand so we didnt buy anything. Also nearby the usual KFC, Mc D's, Nando etc.. and lots of stalls selling chinese food. Our first day there was pretty much spent just chilling watching Tv and heading out for food, that night on the train had pretty much drained us out.
The following day we headed to the nearest light railway only 5 min walk from the hotel and went over to the Petronas Towers underneath is a massive 5 storey shopping mall called KLCC a varied range of designer shops to your favourite topshop !!!! we spent a while having a look around. We found a Indian Restaurant and thought we would have a change foof and had a curry instead which was nice.
After the shopping we headed outside to the park area there is lakes and greenery to sit in and an outside pool. you geta great view of the towers too. About 4pm we headed back to the hotel

View of petronas in the distance for a power snooze. The market outside was double the size than the day before it was manic !! That evening we just chilled in the room and had an early night as the train to Singapore the next morning left about 8am.
