getting vertigo looking up!
Hello everybody!

Well we have been dotting around all kinds of places since the last blog so i am going to write a blog for each place that we have visited in the past week or so!

Where we left off..........we loved KL too (big col!!!) The shopping is fab! You can buy everything at half the price of the UK, we purchased a laptop at a discount price after alot of shopping around as the prices were so different in each place. Ste bought a fair few football shirts too 'they are real he kept on saying' with his high excited tone! If they are or not they are dam good copies.

In between the shopping we did take time out to go and visit the tourists spots! First of all we went to visit the Petrona's towers......these are the largest twin towers in the world you get vertigo just looking up! They issue 1700 free tickets a day to go up to the 42nd floor to walk along the gang way, obviously us being us we were late so missed this opportunity. all the same we went inside and surprise surprise it is a shopping

mall as well as offices and various other things! The building itself is so impressive so shiny and looks new even though it has been there around 10yrs.

As we could not visit the gang way to see the sky line of KL we went to visit the communications tower which is a 10min walk away from the Petrona's towers. Once at the bottom you can get a free shuttle bus to the top of a small hill where the building is situated. We paid 20 RM each to get up there this gives you a free audio and visual guide to the city once you are at the top. It is so weird there are lots of staff all in orange uniforms like robots telling you to go 'that way'. In following there orders we found ourselves in a lift that took 58seconds to get to the top of the tower......our ears popped as we went up. At the top we were given our guide which gave you an insight into the city and the history which was interesting. There were 12 windows in all each giving you a slightly different view of the surrounding vast city!!! made

our mug shot from the communication tower.....nice sign!
us realise how big it actually is.

After our tourist day we finished off with a bit of street food which is plentiful here and tastes good! Even though Kl is a huge city full of shopping malls and train stations that do not really make sense we really liked it and i am sure we will back very soon!!!!!

We got our bus ticket to Singapore from a greasy cafe style bus station and the next part of our journey is on the horizon................

P.S thank you for the comment on the prison forest cat, it freaked us out each time we walked past (which was everyday). Although it does still look like a working prison!!!!!
