at K.L's oldest prison
Well we arrived in Kuala Lumpur this morning!

After our boat from the perhentian islands last night we came to the port where we thought we could easily buy a ticket for a bus to Kuala Lumpur.....we were wrong!!!! The bus from the port was full so we had to get a taxi to the next largest town Kota Bharu where we bought a ticket for the 9.30pm bus. We wasted some time by wheeling our backpacks around in a shopping trolley looking like right idiots ha ha ha! we then got stuck with some local that wanted to just talk to us in English as he wanted to practice.....that was OK at first but then 2hrs later and we just wanted him to leave us alone bless him!!! He even took a photo on his phone of me and Ste with him to show his mates.

We arrived at 6am here time this morning and we had to get a train to the backpacker area, but the thing is that this city is not really backpacker friendly! So we ended up coming to china town and we have found a decent hotel for a tenner a night, which is so much more then we have been used too!! We have so far today visited the many shops that KL has to offer................there are so many different things to buy and it is so cheap! think another parcel home is in order ha ha ha! we are going to visit the famous Petronas towers in the morning after a well deserved nights sleep as we have not slept from the night bus journey last night!

The only thing we have a photo of is the prison we walked past to get to the mall we are sat in makes an interesting read! the prison Looked so horrible i would not wanna end up in there!

will write Soon xxxx

Curry
I loved KL. You have to get some curry action going - best curries outside of India and they do some nice ice smoothies as well. Sounds like your trip is going really well. Take it easy P.S. I have been working as a truck driver this week!!!! Haven't seen any hotties to toot my horn at though! haha

That prison is the Pudu prison, the oldest prison in Malaysia. The city of KL is not sure what to do with it, many Malaysians are superstitious and wouldnt visit a 100 year old prison where many evil people were hanged when it was temporarily turned into a museum. It now serves as a police station but will be turned into a temporary detention centre soon. Let me translate the mural next to the english one: You will be hanged until you die. The ultimate woe upon your family. That is the only punishment for taking and distributing dadah(drugs).
