Episode #1 Feb. 16th, First day in Fukuoka
We set off this trip at Busan. we got on the hydrofoil boat for Hakata at 10:00. It took three hours to landing on the Hakata port. It was exactly 13:00. as soon as finishing Japan immigration inspections-temporary visa, finger printings and picturing a face-. we headed for Central hotel in Tenjin, downtown Fukuoka by taxi. we checked in, unpacked and we ate kimbap for lunch that we bought in Busan, Korea in hotel room. while my younger brother's wife and his daughter took a rest in her room. we-I and my younger brother-went to JR Hakata station by tube to book express train tickets for Yufuin on Feb. 17th and Aso-Yuhuin round trip tickets on Feb. 18th. after this reservation, we backed to Central hotel by tube.
fristly, We-I and my younger family- strode Tenjin underground passage where are many accessories shops, clothes shops and convenient stores. and this underground passage is connected to department stores and tube stations and the private railway station-Nishitetz Tenjin station-. we went to look for the Japanese restaurant, "一風堂(Itppudo)"which is famous for "Hakata ramen(hot and greasy ramen)"by foot. we strode downtown, Tenjin to this restaurant. It is near the Nakagawa stream in Fukuoka. we ate these ramens with three glasses of draught beer for dinner. It was really hot and greasy. It was not appropriate to me owing to lard and hotness. we ordered two kinds of ramens. a little hot and little greasy ramen is more appropriate to me. it was extraordinary experience comparing with Korean ramens. but the draught beer is very fresh and very good. after dinner, we backed to hotel. although this hotel is located in downtown, it was very calm as well as clean and very economical. in addition to, there is "free small onsen(sauna)" on floor#13.
I would like to recommend this hotel for Fukuoka-ken travellers.
