Bigbrother - Lee Dae-Hyung

I am an elementary school teacher in South Korea. I had started my career as elementary school teacher in Gyeonggi do(Uijungbu, near nothern Seoul city), south Korea, 10 years ago, 1999. 6 years ago, I came to Dae-Gu (near my home town , Gunwi) to teach elementary school pupils. I taught my pupils for 2 years in Dae-Gu. 4 years ago, I was re-stationed at Gunwi(my hometown). I had taught elementary school-in my hometown- pupils for 3 years. but I returned to my school in Dae-gu on 2008.
From 2nd this March, 2009 on, I am working for my new school, Gong-san elementary school in the outskirts of Dae-gu. this school is located in Mt. Palgong area and surrounded with many pine trees.

My life in Mt. Palgong area, Dae-gu will be set off .

A week ago, I took an excursion to understand "a Korean Confucianism". I visited a confucianism academy where is located in Dodong village, Dae-gu city. when I visited there, some Confucians, the old, have a conference about a worship of their ancestor who was a great Confucian in Jocheon dynasty(朝鮮王朝). He was expelled and finally had a death to poison by his king(King, Younsangoon), due to protesting against his unreasonable king. My school yard is full of falling Autumn. A lot of leaves of trees turned greenery to colorful-yellow, brown, red-. I shot yellowed leaves and beautiful flowers in my school back yard and caught my some pupils with living in playground. You can enjoy these shoots. As you know, From Oct. 2nd, 2009 to Oct. 4th, 2009 was Korean traditional holiday(Choo-soek, Aug.15. on lunar month, the full moon's day). I worshiped my ancestors with my all family. On Choo-soek day, Confucian(about a quarter of national total population) set a table for their ancestors in the morning, Choo-soek. and pray for thier ancestors and thanks for good harvest this year. I finished my teachers' training course for enhancement of teaching skills of elementary school science on August 12th. on last Friday, we, teachers(40members in my class) went to watch flowers, plants and trees in Dae-gu citizen garden. It was a kind of field trip for teachers to have an opportunity to group and make a distinction between many plants and many trees by eyes. in this garden, I saw many beautiful flowers, greenery and tall trees. I am on summer vacation from July 20th to August 24th. I already spent my ten days of my holidays on refreshing my mind- Zen training in my Buddhism temple and reading a Japanese novel, Genjimonogatari,(源氏物語) written in Korean. Whenever I am on vacation, I can have much my own free time to enjoy my hobby and what I want to do. It is my strongest strength of my life style. Farewell! My president, Rho Moo-Hyun. My president passed away, I can't express my mind. He was the first and last Korean president who respected and loved his poor and weak people with heartfelt. but Many korean people didn't understand him. some korean people refused him as president of Republic of Korea. the purification plant in Suseung-gu next to world cup stadium.

April 17th, I visited a filtration plant for study in Suseung-gu, Dae-gu city with grade#1, #2, #3 as a company of teachers. this plant is very near the world cup stadium. this plant receives raw sewage from Chungdo Dam(near Dae-gu) and filters off impurities. clean water of this plant is supplied for Dae-gu citizen, especially for inhabitants in Suseung-gu. After this visit, we went picnicking to world cup stadium park. we ate "Kimbap" for lunch. my cherry blossoms fell down and scattered.

This spring 2009 of Mt. Palgong looked go away, MY cherry flowers fell down and scattered here and there. My 34th spring in this world also went away with falling cherry flowers. I have too mind to accept this changing seasons that informed my getting older and older. A time flew like flying arrow. My life also run through it. but greenery waits for me instead of falling cherry flowers. Yesterday was off duty. My cherry flowers in my school full bloomed earlier than my expectation. What perfect blossoms they are! Everyone may enjoy this perfect cherry blossoms. Today is Good day for us. lately, it is extraordinary very warm, nearly hot in Dae-gu. this weather awakened my cherry flowers to bloom more earlier. I loaded my music class of my school. It is spring in my father's house, my hometown village, Gun-wi. some kinds of flowers in my father's house are heralding the coming of spring in my hometown. some hyacinths, wild lilies, a camellia blossom and similar japanese apricot blossoms gave me the message of spring. the spring of my home town village is slower than that of Dae-gu due to a cold temperature in spring time. but at last, spring come to my father's house like an invisible guest and will stay for a while.
