Hey guys... gonna be a short one coz not much has happened since we last wrote... Panjim was overall a little dull with not much to do but eat or be in our hotel room (which all in all was not that pleasant looking slightly like a prison cell!) ... we woke in the morning and went to meet Chloe at the bus station - this should be a simple task but in India it proved difficult - you can't just wait anywhere - there are no benches or seats and you get hasselled if you stop anywhere - so we wondered about for a while and Tanya had her first stress out (AHH!) but we did eventually find a "quiet" corner where no one was after anything, stood next to the five men around each ... read more

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING CANADA, and the UK and Europe and I think even India. So after their day spent at Elephanta Island Dave & Jord thought that it would be a good time to try and meet up with some of Dave's Indian friends from good old Antwerp. After a couple calls to a couple secretaries, Dave managed to get in touch with his good friend Anshul Mehta (one of the diamond boys, although in Antwerp they were all diamond boys). Anyways Anshul came and picked us up, and drove the car himself surprisingly (crazy man), we went to one of the nicer bars that Mumbai had to offer meeting with another of Dave's friends Ravi Bhansali who had recently got hitched. After a few kingfishers and a few kamikazes (indian shot that tastes like limoncello) Dave ... read more

My Mother always told me that the entire world is not just Barre Massachusetts (the small town where I grew up). These past few months in India have been some of the most wondrous, amazing, and thought inspiring of my life. There's so much that I didn't know and I think that I'm now only realizing the tip of the iceberg. My feelings about myself and my place in this world have changed. My attitudes about what's truly important in life have shifted a bit. Maybe it's because of what I was one day describing to a friend as the "India Mystic", a name I've given to the strange and awesome energy this country has about it. Maybe it's because people who spoke good English were few and far between, and more often then not I ... read more

Do you know what a Boomer Duet is? It's bubble gum with chocolate filling. Sounds gross right? It's delicious! When Laura was here her fav snack was this weird ice cream that was encased in wheat bread. Lets talk about the beach. I love lounging on a beautiful beach, drinking a cocktail, listening to my i pod, watching all the people and letting my imagination run wild. There's this one girl I've noticed the past few days, perfect body, but she seriously walks like she has a golf club stuck up her ass. She sticks her chest out as far as she possibly can and trys to be all seductive when she walks. It's just not that sexy. Sexy doesn't know it is, it just is. Sexy is not trying. I don't know if she's a ... read more

Lets talk about terrorists. I'm embarrassed to say that until I came to India I didn't know too much about terrorists, just that they don't like Americans, they were responsible for 9/11, and going to the airport is becoming more and more a pain in the ass because of them. Here in India (near Pakistan and Afghanistan) they have MAJOR problems with terrorists. I was reading the news paper at breakfast this morning and I was sick to see that there was a terrorist bombing in Jaipur (where I was just last month) and a lot of people got killed or injured. I've read several articles in the past few weeks with similar stories taking place in Jammu and Kashmir but on smaller scales. Before I went to Jammu and Kashmir I was in total ignorant ... read more
