My Mother always told me that the entire world is not just Barre Massachusetts (the small town where I grew up). These past few months in India have been some of the most wondrous, amazing, and thought inspiring of my life. There's so much that I didn't know and I think that I'm now only realizing the tip of the iceberg. My feelings about myself and my place in this world have changed. My attitudes about what's truly important in life have shifted a bit. Do you know what a Boomer Duet is? It's bubble gum with chocolate filling. Sounds gross right? It's delicious! When Laura was here her fav snack was this weird ice cream that was encased in wheat bread. Lets talk about the beach. I love lounging on a beautiful beach, drinking a cocktail, listening to my i pod, watching all the people and letting my imagination run wild. There's this one girl I've noticed the past few days, perfect body, but she seriously walks like she has a golf club stuck up her ass. Lets talk about terrorists. I'm embarrassed to say that until I came to India I didn't know too much about terrorists, just that they don't like Americans, they were responsible for 9/11, and going to the airport is becoming more and more a pain in the ass because of them. Here in India (near Pakistan and Afghanistan) they have MAJOR problems with terrorists. I was reading the news paper at breakfast this morning and I was sick to see that there was a terrorist bombing in Jaipur (where I was just last month) and a lot of people got killed or injured. I've read several articles in the past few weeks with similar stories taking place in Jammu and Kashmir but on smaller scales. Before I went to Jammu and Kashmir I was in total ignorant ... read more

A hangover!! I'm at the cyber cafe and the poor guy is back at the hotel with an awful headache. Yesterday was his birthday. We got an Ayurvedic couples massage, then I had our hotel set up a candle light dinner in the garden and serve us Punjabi food, wine and birthday cake. Two glasses of Chianti and he's on his deathbed. I find it strange that he can drink 3 pegs of whisky and be fine, but 2 glasses of wine killed him.I can do two glasses of wine, but one sip of whisky kills me, I think I'm allergic. Some of you may know Mr.Knife, he's a little 3 blade pocket knife a friend in Alaska gifted to me last summer. I usually keep him in my purse because he makes me feel tough and unless I've threatened to kill you with Mr.Knife at least once then we're not as good of friends as you think, just kidding. Twice now I've forgotten that he was in my purse and got busted at the airport but more often then not he's just a prop I use to be dramatic. Which brings us to our second topic, ayurvedic medicine.
