After watching the following movies on the plane
* Mission Impossible 3
* Legends of the fall
* RV (just the 1st half)
* Sleepers
* Donnie Brasco
* The Godfather II (which is the best of the 3)
* The Break-Up (for movies like this to make enough money at the box office, all they need to do is show Jennifer Anniston naked, and you'll have the BFs dragging out the GFs to see it)
* Heat
* The Pink Panther
* Stick It (Jeff Bridges takes another huge downward step in his acting career, as he is plays the role of girls gymnastic coach who is washed up and butts heads with the best female gymnast...think female white version of Terrel Owens)
Got dropped off at what I thought was my friend Loren's place, until a girl told me that Loren actually lives down the street in some barn and that all I needed to do was walk down there and yell open to an open window because she was sleeping in there...oh yea, this cant miss.
Anyways, it didnt miss and we went to go grab some eats as her and her 12 roomates were all quite

Combined with the techno music played when it is time to walk...Sydney keeps you safe from its crazy drivers.
pooched from the hallowe'en party the night before. Not many people celebrate hallowe'en in Australia. Other differences that I've noticed, all the movies (like Borat) come out a month later here and American Hip hop is popular yet, pricy. A cd of the Ying Yang twins sells for $45 here. Everyone drives and walk on opposite sides. Ketchup and peanut butter are not in high demand.
For one meal I bought some shrimp and Thai food, except they call shrimp "CRAW"....which raises the question of where the line "throw another shrimp on the barbie" came from.
They also throw BBQ sauce on everything. Everyone is very laid back and the workforce, doesnt seem to do a whole lot of work. They have very flexible hours and I think they just show up in time for work to take an extended lunch with many drinks, which is just the pre-drink for after work when they have many more. Loren's boss keeps the bar fridge fully stocked with wine and booze for those boring board meetings. Everybody is super nice here and the majority of the tourists stem from Britain, Ireland and Scotland....or atleast, they are by far the most outgoing and friendly.

On the plane ride into Sydney I met a cool Canadian girl and we ended up going to the Sydney aquarium with a few others and she is now living with Loren and the other 12 people, so I wish them all the best.

I am now off to Auckland, but will be sure to come back to Sydney shortly as 2 days is simply not enough.

I want to live in a barn too
Ha ha a- who wouldn't want to live in a barn with 12 roommates - sounds a lot like Banff - only the cows and the pigs live closer to Calgary - and where the f@#$%%k did the saying "let's throw another shrimp on the barbie" come from - oh yeah "The Dukes of Hazzard" or should I say "Dukes of Jennifer Simpson" because that is the only reason anyone would sit through a movie like that -- good luck in Auckland.
