Could THIS MOMENT, this second, TODAY really be the start of SOMETHING FABULOUS ? Goodness, I really do hope so ! Hi everyone, this is my very first Blog...ever. After questioning myself for years and reading countless blogs and articles from others, I finally decided that the time is now for me to DO THIS. So here I am, jumping in...taking the plunge...diving into the waters of travel blogs. I am 59 years old and have loved writing and loved travelling all my life.
Why would anyone else wish to read my blog? Well, I intend to share with you many of the experiences I have enjoyed while seeing new towns, states, and countries. Travel is fantastic whether it is around my state or around the world. DO YOU AGREE?
I suppose you could say I was born to travel. My parents (one from Georgia and one from Alabama) were living in Germany at the time I was born. Dad was serving in the Air Force. In fact, my very first HOME was a castle ! That's right. It was located in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Mom always loved to tell me how beautiful it was. She also told me that as we flew to the States when I was two, I said "Hello" to a man who sat in front of us on the plane. He was Clayton Moore, who had played The Lone Ranger on television. As we were getting off the airplane he told my mom that I was the most sweet and adorable child he had ever seen. So there you see that before I turned three years old I had already lived in a castle AND met a true Hollywood star !
Anyway, since that time I have visited SO many awesome and amazing locations... and plan to share many of those adventures with you in these blogs.
It is my deepest hope that YOU and I can share tips and ideas to encourage each other on to bigger and better trips, photos, and blogs. Thank you for reading...

Write for yourself as a legacy of all the traveling you have done. It doesn't matter where you start...just make sure your entry date is the date you took the trip...either the beginning or the end. This way all your blogs will be in chronological order when you are done. The TB community loves to read blogs, and more importantly to see pictures, from long ago. My blogs start in 1949 and capture a lot of history along the way.
