Outside when you are walking in.
Yes, Bangkok. And yes, I know it’s not in Europe. But, it is halfway between New Zealand and Europe and seemed like a good place to meet up with Ben who is living in New Zealand right now. When I started thinking about doing some traveling, I wanted to go to Asia but was a little nervous to go by myself. Now, after traveling for three months and having someone to go with me, Thailand a little more appetizing.

After a 12 hour flight and all the chaos in Heathrow, what could be better than a two hour massage, right? It was the best! And I also had my first Thai dish. . . the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Ben arrived later in the evening without a hitch.

With only one day in Bangkok, we packed in as much as we could, starting with the Grand Palace. This place was so elaborate, it was incredible. We didn’t take a tour so I’m sure there is a lot more to it than we figured out, but it was still cool to walk around the whole place. We also took boat ride down the river, walked through an open market (they eat some really crazy stuff), took the sky tram around the city, and did a little shopping at the mall.

We ended the day with a 90 minute massage at this excellent place my friend Kiko told me about. Two 90 minute massages for about $30 USD (total). Can’t beat that!
