Today was spent at New Norcia Benedictine Monastery. We took a 2hr guided tour, well worth it. We were taken through the girls and boys colleges, Abbey Church, flour mill, Monastery Chapel and Aboriginal housing. Great artwork and pressed tin ceilings. The Monastery itself is off limits and is where they make bread, olive oil and Abbey ale (7% proof) We had lunch and a glass of Abbey ale before driving home through fields of hakia, geraldton wax, grevillea and wattle, would be lovely in September when they all flower.

Lovely photos, wish we had visited when we were over there. Also Albert Facey memorial at Northam. He wrote ' A Fortunate Life ' which Rosie passed on to me to read.
