Landed in Dublin yesterday morning, got our rental car and then we were on our way to explore. First stop was our B&B St Jude's our host was David and he was extremely helpful as to where we could park our car and the easiest way to get to the city center (no way would I drive there). First stop was lunch at Neary's Pub on Chatham. It was really neat to see how many people that walked in the bartenders knew by name. Of course every sandwich on the menu pairs well with Guinness according to the bar tender.

Next we made our way down Grafton Street which was neat to see all the shops and the street performers then we headed to the tourist center to get more information and of course free pamphlets. The hop on and off bus was a good idea. The ticket can be used to two days and the whole tour is about an hour and a half. Gave us a good way to see most of the big tourist things in Dublin and gave us an idea of where we were and how to get about.

Did a tour of Dublin Castle which has been destroyed and rebuilt several times over the centuries.

We had dinner and a beer at Porterhouse Brewing Co in Temple Bar. Great food and I really enjoyed their Ouster Stout.

Plan for today is to go back and visit a few sites with more time. Then to head on to Powerscourt House and Gardens for a short trip. Our final destination for today is Waterford castle in Waterford County. Hope we make the drive without getting lost to much.
