We started today with a really nice buffet breakfast at our hotel. Waffles, bacon, eggs, cereal etc (not in that order). Caught a cab out to Universal Studios travelling via the beautiful Hollywood Hills and the magnificent homes there. Another fantastic taxi driver, the ones we have had have been extremely knowledgable and excellent drivers to boot.

First stop at Universal Studios was saving the world from Cyberdine Systems (Terminator 2), 3D cinema at it's absolute best. After saving the world from attack we were meandering along the streets of the studios and you just never know who you might bump in to. Karen (Vicki's sister), Brian (her husband), Emerson and Jackson (our nephews), Jason (Vicki's brother) and his friends Dennis and Michelle.

After some lunch we took the studio tour. With our front of line tickets there was little queing to do, very much the best tip we can offer is buying the front of line tickets. You literally jump the queues and go straight to the front of the line regardless of how many people are in it. The studio tour is amazing, well narrated by your on board guide and driver. Too many things happen on

it to go in to it is just one of those must do things.

We then shook a tail feather at the Blues Brothers show. Learnt how Hollywood produces some special effects at the Special Effects Stage. We then went to Water World, the movie may have been a flop but the show we saw was pretty amazing. And then we saw Shrek in 4D and helped save Princess Fiona while being sneezed on by Donkey.

After bidding farewell to Universal Studios we took the subway from Universal City to Hollywood Vine Station. Stumbled across the Pantages Theater where The Book of Mormon, the stage show from the creators of South Park is playing to rave reviews and sell out crowds. After walking up and down Hollywood Boulevard Vicki and I said farewell to our fellow travellers and settled in for New York pizza for dinner.

We then caught a cab to our hotel and are just in the process of planning tomorrow's adventure.

Another tip going to Disneyland. If you have a 7 day pass they allow one day for you to go real early in the morning before open to general public. DO IT!!!! Go nuts on the rides!!!!
