McDonald's and Wine??? Thoroughly enjoyed following along on your US Holiday. Can't believe though that you stopped at McDonald's on the same day that you had that fantastic meal w/wine on the Wine Train. Made me smile. It sounds like you had a wonderful holiday (vacation as we say here in America), with many unique experiences. May all of your future travels be filled with wonderful memories.

Hi Roger and Karen
Thank you for your reply. We never actually thought about the McDonalds breakfast and lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train, and we both had a good laugh when you pointed it out.
Thanks again for the reply and taking time to read our blog.
Safe travels.
Wayne and Vicki
Thankyou to you both I am very tired after all that travel, but I must say I have enjoyed every minute of it. Your blogs have made it so interesting and your photos are really wonderful. Lots of love Aunty Kay & Uncle Peter xx

San Francisco Hi there, I was in San Francisco in March and I loved it. The Palace of the Arts is worth a look, we walked across the Golden Gate and back, that was really cool. Alcatraz amazing but what I really enjoyed was a walking tour of Castro, do you remember the movie Milk? it was about the politican Harvey Milk who was assassinated - it's a really interesting place. Also the Haight is a good suburb to go and see. The trains are cheap enough to take anywhere, we didn't hire a car until we left San Francisco for LA. Enjoy ! Can't wait to here what you get up to, it was my favourite city.
While at Fisherman's Wharf Hi Guys, while you are at Fisherman's Wharf, for retail theraphy, try Ghirardelli Square, 900 North Point Street, nearest cross street is Larkin Street. Great retail area and food / restaurants.
Was there some time ago and very impressed. It's about 4-5 blocks away (1 km) and worth the trip.
Also, don't forget Lombard Street at Russian Hill, about another 3 blocks away from Ghirardelli Square - between Hyde & Leavenworth Street. The most winding street in the world. Anyway, a couple of good things to see if you can.
Michael
Thank you

Great photos Hi guys, the blog has been great to read, and this morning I've been really hooked by your Grand Canyon photos. Never having been there before they give a different perspective...and the fact that it's as cold as it is! Great photo's today though...thanks for sharing. Dave

thanks guys I look forward every day to read your adventures, you are going to love the Grand Canyon, words are just not enough as you will soon see, cheers guys and take care
If going to Disneyland Another tip going to Disneyland. If you have a 7 day pass they allow one day for you to go real early in the morning before open to general public. DO IT!!!! Go nuts on the rides!!!!
Your trip thus far Loving the blog. Customs in the US will never change. How you adjusting to the time zones? Go IHOP!!!!!!! There is one across from Disneyland if your going there and it"s open 24/7.
Oh yeah the "fast passes" are a treat. If you again using them at Disneyland you may still have a queue.
