Wild goose Island
east side... st. mary lake Today is June 11, 2006. We've been at Glacier National Park in Northwest Montana for the last week or so. It's hard to beat Glacier for rugged beauty. This morning it's raining but we splurged and spent the last 2 nights at the Glacier Park Lodge on the east side of the park. We had a little excitement yesterday when we ran across a bear on one of our hikes. He was a cinnamon colored black bear about 30 feet from us... I think we kinda surprised him which you don't want to do but he scampered off and we continued on. Tommorow we head back to Yellowstone to meet up with Beckie and Gary to do a little trout fishing.

WOW!
Really have enjoyed following your travels....some of the best photos I've ever seen....you have really been exploring God's country at it's best! Patty Murray and I bought kayaks and have enjoyed some very serene mornings on our little lake minus the snow capped mountains. We enjoyed having Kelly and Sean over for Memorial Day. Come back safe....keep the bear repellent handy!
