Well hello. We arrived safe after a slight mishap when Chris realised at the airport duty free that he did not have his Visa Card and also he had set the alarm at home for 2.30am instead of 3.30am so we have had a very LONG day.
We have arrived in Bangkok to the Four Seasons Hotel which is absolute luxury.
We were upgraded to a deluxe suite with a card of congrats on our wedding anniversary. Then only minutes later another knock on the door and we were presented with a beautiful bottle of french champagne and fresh strawberries with dipping chocie and some other goodies.
We have just arrived back to our room to find the bed turned down and even the slippers by our bed.
Not sure we will continue with the rest of the trip at this rate !!!!!!
We took off down town after a glass of champers to look around and Chris will now tell you this afternoons adventure.

Nice flight, free beer, wine and scotch, and not the s#@t stuff. Bangkok's a little different from Sydney, these drivers make our Asian drivers look like Micheal Schumacher. I am sure the only reason there not a high death rate is because the traffic can not go fast enough. Had a few trips in a toktok, well that's an experience, but for every trip the cost has been not more than $3 aussie, a well worth experience. We got conned by one of the drivers to go down to the river and take a river boat cruise, well we did, I'm not very good a haggling yet so we got the works, an hour river cruise with a 15 year old driver, if he was 15 for a total sum of 2000 baht, $60, even without haggling we thought it was a good price. The cruise went through the back channels and showed the real Thai people. It's been a long day but here are some pics for you to browse. And I forgot the Shingha beer is great....Icy cold and cheap, just my type.
