First off, it is 100 degrees right now. Being in the sun makes me feel like my flesh is on fire. Anddd there is no AC in the house (not that there has been, but today its really bad).
Yesterday was awesome. We had class from 10-3, Rachel and I went to the beach for a few hours afterwards (Stavors and Jess went to visit their families on the islands theyre from for the whole weekend). Came back home, finished my lesson plan for Monday, took a shower, then we both walked back to the beach and ate at this great seafood restaurant we've been wanting to eat at since we've been here but Jess doesn't like seafood. It was a little expensive but it was worth it. We shared a shrimp and feta dish in some tomatoey sauce and a fried cod filet with bread on the side. Then on the way back home, I saw a shooting star!!!! Went to bed, got up early this morning, took the bus to Corinth (maybe a 15-20 minute ride) and stopped at a bakery first for coffee/oj/crouissants. Walked around for an hour or two shopping (I got a summer dress), walked to the beach and swam/layed out/ picked up seaglass for an hour or two. Then we left, had a quick souvlaki for lunch, shopped a little more, and took the bus back.
It was a good trip overall other than the heat. Anddd we successfully made it a whole day, took 2 of the right buses, and ordered food using the little Greek we knew. I think we're going to sit in front of the fans and watch a movie at least until it cools off a little.

We went to Williamson's Papa Willie's Fri. night. Anne said she got up at 2 A.M. to see the meteor shower we had. (Thurs. night) They had it in the paper but I didn'tget up.!! Anne said she saw several of them!!Maybe it was the same ones we had that you saw!! This is the first day it hasn't been in the upper 90's in over a month. It rained in Wmson and going to here today so it should stay in the 80's for 2 days. The seafood looks delicious. We are going to the scout hut tonight for Pops S.S. class having a low country boil. We talked to Johnny and Willie Ebetina this morning at Hardees. Johnny was born in Italy. They said that was a pretty place but I know you'll pick out the perfect place. Just be sure it's safe! Love you, Memaw
